World of Color Dining Packages Announced

I'm booked for the 18th of June too! :woohoo:
Did you chooose AG or WCT? We are at AG at 5:20.
I chose outdoor seating thinking that it would be a nice view of the water, but now I'm rethinking that because if it's hot we are going to wish we were inside with the AC.
Any thoughts on that?

Oh, and reading the posts on the WOC superthread, it seems that everyone who called to make reservations today was given slightly varying information, in some cases vastly different - everything from "you may or may not get your tickets" to "you are guaranteed to get your tickets" :rotfl:

Ooooh, we might be able to meet each other! I'm at AG at 6:15, and we also picked an outside table!! I've always done inside seating, but I know the area outside is covered....hoping it won't be too hot that day!

Is there any info about this dining package on DL's website? I'm searching right now and so far can't find anything.

Ironic that they are accepting these reservations (I called on Tuesday to see if they opened ADR's for June & they hadn't yet) but their calendar still doesn't even show WOC on the DCA schedule!

Now to try & convince the rest of the group to do these reservations.....hmmm.....

If your group is even slightly flexible and you think you MIGHT be able to convince them, I'd suggest you just go ahead and book, especially if your dates are around June 11. You can always cancel them later and we don't know how long they will last once the word really gets out.

yeah, that is what I'm thinking....I work nights so I just sent my brother an email asking him to call 1st thing in the morning to try & get reservations for June 14th -- we can always cancel (I sweetened the pot by offering this as the meal that DH & I pay for).

I just wish there was something on the DL website with info! But then again maybe I don't so that all the other people aren't being made aware the reservations are opened, lol!

Anyone know of a link to the menu DL is offering for either Ariel's or Wine Trattoria WOC Package? Or does anyone have the info from Disney Dining.

This is getting confusing because there is lots of information about this on the WoC main thread. In any case, here is exactly what I was told on the phone by a CM this afternoon:

At AG:
1) shared appetizer platter (2 choices available)
2) salad
3) choice of:
tri-tip
filet of red-fish
vegetarian dish
herb crusted chicken
pasta
cioppino
4) shared dessert platter (cake, cookie, cheesecake bites, tiramisu
Includes a basic beverage.

Adults $36.99
Kids (3-9) $20.99

At WCT:
1) antipasto platter
2) starters salad
3) choice of:
- fish of the day
- herb-roasted chicken breast
- seafood pasta
- braised lamb shank
- NY strip loin
4) dessert trio
Includes a basic beverage.

Adults $39.99
Kids (3-9) TBA

I reads the meals at AG were very good and that was my experience in 2008.

I was given the same information. We booked for Wednesday, June 23 at 5:20 at WCT since we already have lunch booked at Ariel's.

From what I read earlier, the general idea is to pull the tickets each morning for the reserved dining packages. So, those tickets will be set aside for the diners. And on the Disneyblog, it states that those doing the dining package will receive tickets for special seating (standing, whatever. I don't care about one vs. the other).

Problem is at WCT they will take walk-ups for the WOC package, so they don't know how many they'll have. Once they run out, they run out. Maybe if enough people complain they'll change this??

Another difference between Fantasmic Dinner Packages in WDW and the WOC dining package is how the reservation was handled. First there is the obvious element of not paying in advance. But more importantly, the CM explained I was basically just making a reservation at WCT. She was noting that we are interested in the pre-set WOC menu but we did not reserve a spot for that package. Once we get there, we still have the right to order off the standard menu and not the WOC menu. If we choose that, we will not get WOC tickets. It sounds like the opposite is true as well.

This I like because if the GCV WoC tickets come through, I'd still love to try WCT but won't need the WoC tickets. :thumbsup2

Don't people with reservations get seated before walk-ups? That's why I chose the first seating at 4:00.

I read some people (either here or on another board) say that Ariel's Grotto ALSO will take non-WoC seatings. I'm not sure that's true, but I thought I'd mention it. I booked a 4 PM seating at WCT, figuring that I SHOULD be safe even if they let walk-ups take the offer too.

So if my travel partner agrees to doing this, I get to have linner one night and lupper the next!

I made 6:00 reservations at AG for July 14. Should I change them to earlier to ensure they won't run out? The seatings for the first show are from 5-7.

I had no problem at all getting a 5:00 ADR, she did say they would give the WOC tickets after we paid our meal and did not know where the special seating would be.

The 39.99 does not include tax or gratuity.

For what it's worth, I called Disney Dining again specifically to confirm this "no walk-ups at AG" thing and was told it's not true—both restaurants will be taking walk-ups, so you have an equal chance of (not) getting your tickets with your dinner package at both restaurants.

Now I'm wishing this was a pre pay sort of thing ~ that would guarantee a spot I think, I hate the uncertainty!
