World of Color Dining Packages Announced

We booked WCT for 5:30 on July 23rd. Hopefully by then they will know what they are doing and we will definitely get our tickets as my DH is a super grumpy guy when he doesn't have a seat.

Apologies if this has already been covered, but is it safe to assume that WCT and AG will EACH have their own set of tickets for EACH showing? In other words, WCT and AG diners won't be "competing" with each other for tickets to the reserved viewing area, just only within their respective restaurants? I'd assume that WCT and AG will each receive an allotment of tickets to the viewing area that will be distributed to the diners at each location.

I don't know about "assuming" anything but I would think that your guess is correct.

We booked our "World of Color" package at AG for June 11 at 5:20. "Patio Seating." Price quoted was $34 per adult, $18 for kids, plus tax and tip. Any idea why that is different than the $36.99/$20.90 others have been getting? Is it patio seating related?

Fingers crosses this actually works on Day 1 of this new operation.

Maybe they lowered the price so that there was actually a measurable difference between the packages at Wine Country Trattoria and Ariel's Grotto...? :teeth:

The Ariel's character meal is slightly lower priced if you sit outside... even though WOC seating has no characters maybe they are keeping with that pricing...

As far as I know the $36.99 is for indoor seating. The phone CM I spoke with mentioned outdoor seating was a few dollars less.

DVC as well.

I made my ressie for July 27 @ 6pm. I was never told that there wasnt a guarantee I would get tickets.

I wasn't told that either when I made my reservation for June 11th. Just that I would receive the tickets after I pay for the meal and that I had to order off the set menu.

Just made ressie for July 27 @6pm too at AG. I was told that I would get our tickets when we paid. She did mention specal seating but not much more. She said they are swampped with calls. Feel sorry for them.

Well after waiting on hold long distance for almost 1/2 an hour we were able to finally get through to dining today. We got WCT for June 14. The cm indicated those people who have booked dining packages will have confirmed tickets. I indicated that was good because you cannot charge a premium for a "maybe you might get a ticket" and she said "exactly":goodvibes

I had WOC booked at WCT for 4:50 on June 11 and they just called and told me they have moved my reservation to 6:50! It sounded like they overbooked the earlier slots but it wasn't clear what happened. She also told me that there is still no guarantee on getting a ticket. I just cannot see booking this reservation, eating and then finding out 'oops sorry we are all out of tickets'. Ridiculous!

well normally I would just say trust Disney they will work it out. Common sense says you shouldn't charge people for something they may or may not get...but after the premium pass fiasco i experienced this has me a bit worried... they are still not on task with the premium passes and this was in March! So good luck to everyone and I just say don't have your hopes up and all of you make sure if it doesnt go right don't allow it to ruin your trip.

It certainly won't ruin mine either way I am seeing it:goodvibes

I too got a call from Disney today. Got the same date but our new PS time is 10 minutes earlier for WCT. They said they are going to have part of the restaurant for non-WoC dining. I did lose my family table for 15 and got 4 tables of 4. :rotfl2: Good luck to server who gets the tables with all of our kids.

DS made reservations for us but said he wasn't given a reservation number. Has anyone else gotten a reservation number?

And if you book Patio Seating for Ariels Grotto what happens if you get some rain?
