World of Color Dining Packages Announced

What is the exact definition of a "walk-up"?
Doesn't it just mean that they take so many reservations over the phone, some from the concierges at the hotels and then some from people who walk-up. Just like all the restaurants in DLR.

They still can only seat X amount of people and most likely have enough reserved "seating" to accommodate these people.

This is very similar to how they run the special seating for Fantasmic at Disney Studios FL. I've never had a problem there and I don't expect to have a problem at Disneyland.

Also, the CM I talked to said I was guaranteed a seat for the show.

Who knows... I guess we will all start to find out in less than 2 weeks.

I am going to guess part of the "not guaranteeing" is the unknown of how many people will fit into the viewing area, the number of "seats/spaces/SRO's" that can be made and that the CM at the Reservation Center is not the person responsible for providing you with the actual ticket.

They are not guaranteeing anything as there are too many variables in the air at this time.

Just booked my Res for July 18th 6pm dinner at AG
CM said that I am not gauranteed tickets because its first come type of deal.
The menu for AG is similar to the regular menu with the exception of the appetizer.
TIckets will be handed out if there are tix left at the end of the meal when you pay.
I really HOPE we have guaranteed tix otherwise I will be very dissapointed...
She said that the show times were not released yet, and so I need to call back when they confirm show times. Im hoping for the earliest show. :)

I am really excited!!!!!

My CM said I will be getting tickets to the show, there was no mention of maybe or if it was I will be getting tickets when we are done eating and pay the bill.

She did say it will be the first show and the times are not set yet.

After all the concern in this thread, I called to move our time to an earlier slot, and explained why. The CM was happy to move it, but she said she doesn't know why people are being told that. There are only so many that can eat in either restaurant in that time span, and they are setting tickets aside for the amount each restaurant can hold.

She says there will be tickets for each show, and they are more than aware that they need to ensure that no one pays for a meal and then doesn't recieve their tickets.

Very friendly, and she really knew her stuff. I'm not going to worry about it.

What I was told is that AG is exclusively for WOC packages but WCT is not. I'd assume both will take walk-ups if there's space available. Sounds like you can order off a regular menu at WCT if you don't want the WOC tickets, but at AG you have to do the set menu. Does this make sense with what others have heard?

okay, I just called & made our reservation (12:15 pm WST) and I was on hold for less than a minute :goodvibes before a CM answered, she was very helpful. We got 6/15 at 4:10 pm. Some additional info I received that I don't think I've seen on here is:

10% discount for Disney Rewards Visa cardholders applies (:cool1:)
EVERYONE in your party MUST order off the set menu - no exceptions (other than dietary restrictions)
Tax & Gratuity will be added.
Price for Children at WCT is $19
She also said they are only making outdoor reservations for WCT (I'm not sure if that is all they have or not since I haven't eaten here before)

I'm so excited!:cheer2: And i just woke up after working a grave shift last night so this is a great way to start my day! :thumbsup2

The way it was explained to me was that both AG and WCT will have X number of tickets for each show of WoC.

If you book the WoC dining package, when you pay your bill, you get your WoC ticket.

If you happen to be eating there and hear about / know about the WoC package and do NOT have an ADR, you can say, "I want to do that," and when you pay your bill, you get your WoC ticket.

When they run out of tickets for the show that is designated for that dining period, no more tickets. Period.

I asked, "So, if there are 100 tickets (hypothetical number) available for the first show and 5:30pm 50 people with the WoC dining package eat and another 50 walk-ins ask about it and get the dining package, the people with 6:30pm WoC dining packages won't get tickets?"

She said, "In theory, as it is right now, correct."

That said, we have WoC ADRs at Ariel's.

Just booked my WOC at AG for 7/19. Just a few bits of info from CM (who was incredibly perky by the way)

AG will be WOC only (so you will have a VERY good chance of getting TIXS)
9pm Showing- You can book between 5pm and 7pm
10:15pm Showing- You can book between 6:30pm and 8:30pm (I Believe)
WCT- will be WOC and general guests (So you will have a smaller chance of getting tixs according to her)
9pm- showing you can book between 4 and 6
10:15pm- showing you can book between 6 and 8 (again I Believe)

She did not hear anything about getting seats for the dining folks and that there will be lots more info on this next week supposedly. She was also very annoyed by the little info that Disney provided them with especially since there was no info on guests with disabilities.

Anyway, I'm all booked for AG at 5pm on 7/19.

FWIW, I had a CM tell me the same thing (AG is WOC only, and seating starts at 5 (not 4, although maybe this depends on the date?) so she didn't think that there would be any issue in getting tickets.

That's the opposite of what I was told earlier today!!! These poor cast members, it sounds like they're all being given different info - must make it hard to answer questions.

I called to see if I could move my reservation from WCT to AG because they won't be taking walk-ins. The CM told me that BOTH restaurants would be taking walk-ins if there was availability, so there was no real difference when it came to your chances of getting tickets. She told me I should choose the restaurant based on the menu I preferred.

I asked her about the tickets, and she said that she was told that tickets would not be guaranteed - we got talking and I told her I was a CM at WDW, and that I work as a server in a restaurant and have had to deal with packages like Candlelight Processional in the past, so I know it can be hectic. After that, she told me she, from what she had heard, there would be enough tickets for everyone who had the package, but they know so little about how many people the seating area would hold, right now they don't want to guarantee anything. So this sounds to me more like they're just trying to cover themselves, and there probably will be enough tickets to go around.

I called twice to check on this and was told the same thing by two different cast members.

Is someone keeping a tally of which answer has been heard more...? :lmao:

Did anyone else get a call to change your reservation? We made ours yesterday for 7:20pm and got a call today moving it to 7:40pm.

Thanks!

I agree, hopefully the CM's are telling everyone that they "may" get tix, so they can cover their butts if they run out of tix. :)

So from what I read on here, AG will have NO princesses right? Just dinner with show tix?

Thanks!

I was told NO Princesses at AG WoC dinner.

Actually, the CM confirmed with me that I knew they would NOT be there.

We will be at AG, on June 11th @ 7:10. I was told that was the first seating for the second show. I asked about the possibility of tickets running out before we got there, and she told me that they were not guaranteed, and couldn't confirm whether the tickets for the second showing would be given to guests in the first seating, when tickets ran out for the first show. However, the impression that I got from her was that they have been told that they have to give this warning to all customers to cover themselves (but she sounded like it wasn't going to be an issue). I asked if we could inquire about the ticket status before we committed to ordering dinner, to make sure we would get tickets, and she said that it would be a good idea and we were more than welcome to ask at the restaurant.

I also asked about the kid's menu at AG, and I can't remember all of it, but she did mention there would be a children's tri-tip, grilled chicken and seashell pasta (I think).

I just booked WCT 4pm for the first WOC show hoping the early reservation would hopefully guarantee the tix.

With that said... if you run into them running out of tickets for the first show, I'm wondering if you could then just get the second show tickets?

I posted this in WoC Superthread but thought it might help here:

Just had a long conversation with a CM in Guest Communications. I expressed my confusion about the conflicting info on either or not you will get WoC tickets with either the WCT or AG dining packages. She was great and has talked to Disney Dining and left messages for WoC operations. Basically, what she said is that as of now, yes it is correct that tickets are "first come, first serve". She is trying to get clarification with WoC operations on how they see this running and said she will get back to me. Of course, I will post any info I get.

I also talked to DD again. We have ressies at 6:30 at WCT and requested tickets for the first WoC show. She did say that WCT is only taking reservations and no walk ups unless the day of, they have room and/or cancellations. She also confirmed that if we requested first show tickets and they are out, we could get second show tickets. She seemed confident that they will have enough tickets to cover the dining package reservations.

Now I also asked about the rumored tickets for Villa & Concierge guests and she said they are working on that now and should have info soon. There is also plans for a picnic lunch you pick up that will also get you tickets.

2 weeks away and still waiting for details. No matter, I can't wait!!!!

Does anybody know if there will be an AP discount on these dining packages? The usual 10 (or 15)% or not? :confused3

Ok, booked my reservations a little while ago. Decided to hold a booking for both AG and WCT on different days. Still can't decide which sounds better to our group. ;) The wonderful CM I talked made sure I was aware there are no Princesses, which is fine by us. He said that for these reservations it is a set menu. Looks like each place has something I can eat. Serious allergies so it is always a struggle. He did not confirm a guarantee on the tickets, and I forgot to ask. But can call back.

I also asked whether the viewing for the show would be sitting or standing. What he said is they are not sure yet. He said that they are getting the official walk through next week. :cool1: So, am hoping to call back late next week and see what they have learned. he did say that the viewing we get with the tickets will be better than what others who just walk up can get. Sure hope so.

Look forward to hearing what others experience and what the first guinea pigs ;) find out in a couple of weeks.
