This is really dependent on what type of workout you're doing and what type of music you like to listen to...but some of the favorites on my MP3 player are:
Pump It - Black Eyed Peas
Don't Change - INXS
AM Radio - Everclear
This Love - Maroon 5
Never Say Never - Romeo Void
A Little Less Conversation - Elvis Presley
T-R-O-U-B-L-E - Travis Tritt
Groove is in the Heart - Dee-Lite
In a Big Country - Big Country
Vertigo - U2 (actually anything by U2 is good)
Inside Out - Eve 6
Industrial Disease - Dire Straits
And of course, U Can't Touch This - MC Hammer
I have an interesting mix. I like fast-paced songs to get me moving. The slow inspirational ones just make me walk/run slower.
My Humps - Black Eyed Peas
Let's Get It Started - Black Eyed Peas
Enter Sandman - Metallica
Lose Yourself - Eminem
Right Now - Van Halen
Seal - Crazy
American Woman - Lenny Kravitz
Holla Back Girl - Gwen Stefani
Beautiful Day - U2
Hung Up - Madonna
Tubthumper - Chumbawamba
Cheesy songs (that I secretly love):
Good Vibrations - Marky Mark
Pop - Nsync
Bye Bye Bye - Nsync
Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice
And lots of Goo Goo Dolls :
Stay With You
Dizzy
Long Way Down
January Friend
Only One
Tucked Away
Slave Girl... (Robby's songs are always fast & good for w/o)
Can't think of any more right now - but I am always looking for more ideas too!
It is so funny I just was checking out search to see if there was a thread about workout music... I am setting my ipod and making some CD's to get me going.
This is what's in my ipod for my 60 min workout right now. Fun to see everyone's list!!
James - Laid
Adam Ant - Vive Le Rock
Betty Boo - Skin Tight
Queen - Don't Stop Me Now
de la Soul - Magic Number
Dead or Alive - Brand New Lover
Jazz Butcher - Hungarian Love Song
Squeeze - Cool for Cats
Dead or Alive - You Spin me Round
Dead or Alive - My Heart Goes Bang
Duran Duran - Careless memories
Planet Earth
Hold Back the Rain (remix)
My Own Way
Make me Smile (to cool down)
I also rotate a lot of Jamiroguai and Squirrel Nut Zippers
I just made a great exercise play list, I will try to remember what I but on it....
Rihanna: Pon de Replay and SOS
Shikirra: Hips don't lie
Sugarland: You can't go home
Outkast: Hey Ya
Pink: Get this Party Started
Shaggy: It wasnt me
Ricky Martin: La Vida Loca
Faith Hill: This kiss
Cheap Trick: I want you to want me
Smash Mouth: All Star
Taylor Hicks: Takin it to the streets
Dexy's Midnight Runner: Come on
Others that I don't remember who sang them:
Bang on your drum all day, I'm too sexy, Mr. Vain, Jump around
I love anything with a good groove--I need fast music to keep me going.
I especially like:
"My Humps" (peppy, but also kind of body-positive which makes me remember why I'm working out)
"Sexy/Back" (and most other Justin Timberlake. Great beat!)
"Feel Good Inc" - Gorillaz
"Crazy in Love" - Beyonce
"Starry-eyed Surprise" - Paul Oakenfold
"Beautiful" - Snoop
"Intergalactic" - Beastie Boys
"Lose Control" - Missy Elliot
I tend to read when I work out...treadmill and bike...but DFi blasts Metallica when he is on the treadmill and it seems to have a good beat to walk to...motivating...wakes you up thats for sure!
Hee-hee! I love the Beastie Boys - I have No Sleep Till Brooklyn and Body in Motion. I also have Baby Got Back on mine - it kind of keeps me motivated that my 'Back' doesn't get any bigger than what it is....kind of like 'Fat Bottomed Girls' by Queen.
Fatboy Slim has a lot of fun songs if you like the electronic kind of music. His 'Rockafeller Skank' has a good beat to run to.
