My husband and I dream of spending our "retirement" years in an RV travelling across the country as WorkKampers. We honestly don't think we could just do the travelling thing without something to keep us busy - like seasonal or temporary part time jobs. One of the places we would really like to do this is WDW. When we were there in 2001, we met a retired gentleman who was working in the MK on Main Street in sort of a conductor's uniform (don't know the term for what he was supposed to be). He told us that he and his wife came to WDW every winter and worked for a few months - got great perks such as CM parties, free admission for families and were generally treated fabulously by Disney as employees. He said that Disney hires scores of retirees, especially during the non-summer months. Has anybody done this sort of thing and has experiences to share, or is anybody, like us, hoping to do this one day.
