Hey everybody,
Dave, great job on the weight loss! I just couldn't do all that tuna!!
I am trying really hard to give up the white stuff. I can't say that I am completely successful perhaps only moderately successful!!
My brother was in a coma 10 years ago for over two weeks, at the age of 41 with adult onset diabetes. I sure don't want to join him, there. I love my white food, but I think of daily injections of insulin, the heart desease that often goes with it and it motivates me to avoid the White food danger!
Everybody, you are doing a great job. One of the things that Kathy and I learned was that you can't change overnight, but every small change makes a difference!

As a foodaholic, I might be tempted to jump in the car tomorrow and drown my sorrows at the nearest McDonalds. However, I'm going to try to stay tough and lean on my fellow WISHers for support. If you have any to spare, please send good thoughts my way. 
Anyway, it will lower blood pressure as much as 20 points in the first two weeks! It allows white food, unless you are diabetic or pre-diabetic or have syndrome X, and I have noticed that since I have been avoiding white foods, my belly is shrinking. I love that. And I have now lost another pound this week. It's a really good balanced diet approach and is easy to follow. It doesn't have pages and pages of "forbidden" foods, it just recommends portions. I think WW is similar in many ways.
