Hello Lovely Lean Ones!
I am taking all of the good advice.

I think I knew in my heart I needed to focus on more miles, but I got "itchy" to be faster...
Today I had a cranberry vitamuffintop and fruit cup for breakfast (3 pts), and I felt full enough. I had yoga at lunchtime, which really felt great. I had 9 pts for lunch -- lean cuisine, yogurt, peppers, grape tomatoes and Veggie chips. I still have grapes and a babybel for a snack later. We're having chicken/ziti/broccoli for dinner, which I will measure. I'm drinking a giant 32 oz. mug of brewed tea today, and I'll have another 32 oz of citrus water tonight. I'm going to run for half an hour tonight, just to get back to moving. Tomorrow morning I plan to get back to an hour of incline walking, which will be 4-4.5 miles.
So, here's another question -- how many miles do I need to try to log per week (running/incline walking) to lose weight? I'm starting to think I'm not doing enough. Here is what I was doing:
Sun -- 4M incline walking
Mon -- 4M running
Tues -- 60 min yoga
Wed -- 4M incline walking
Thurs -- 5M running
Fri -- 40 min yoga
Sat -- 6M running
That's a total of 23 miles a week, it's really usually closer to 25, because I have a cooldown that's almost half a mile most days...I know
Beth does 40 miles a week. While I know I'm not there yet, I'm wondering if I should try to be doing more to see real weight loss. I have never done intervals, I'm not even sure how to start?

Oh, wait, I think
Beth told me...
Instead of doing X miles, should I be doing time? Of course, at 12 min miles that's 60 minutes for 5 miles...I was going to try for 1.5 hrs a day -- but I can't get that all in during the morning. Does it do any good to run for half an hour? I could do an hour in the morning and another half in the evening, well, I could try that. I'm not the world's best doubledipper, but I can't get up any earlier than 4:30!
Jackie -- I think I see the wagon, just around the riverbend! I've got it
Beth, now we can both just jump on! I believe I see a few lovely lean ones holding their hands down to pull us up.

I love the nights of alone-time! They are few, but treasured! Enjoy your time just for you! Tonight ds has gymnastics, and dh will take him, so I really can go home and get on the TM without changing anyone's schedule, so that's an opportunity
Beth-- My treadmill does not do preset intervals, at least not that I know of

Ok, so I do 4.7 for 2 min, then 5.2 for 2 min for 3-4 miles. Is that what interval training means? I am going to have to pay way more attention!

Should I sub this in for my Monday 4M run?
Tandy -- How did the weight lifting go? It's hard to make yourself do something new, even when you know you want to do it!
Kim -- Ok, I'll admit I am pleased I will never have to go prom dress shopping! I know the tux will be much easier

I hope she finds the perfect dress, and it is the perfect price!
Cindy, Vicky, Jeanne, Debra, Corinna, Manda Hey beautiful ones! I hope this week is off to a good start for you!
