Good morning Lean Ladies! Yes, another Tuesday on Tap! How about a question of the day today?
Question of the Day:What time of day do you normally exercise? Do you find a difference in the time of day, to the effort you put into exercise?
My answer: 3 days a week I get up at 5:00 am to run. I am usually running 5 to 6 miles a day. The other days of the week, it's hit or miss what time I get my run in. I do find the morning hours a little tougher to get it done, but it helps me the rest of the day to feel a little more energized! I love having the rest of the day, knowing that my run is done!
Whey Protein question: Yes, I use whey protein the mornings I get up and run early. I usually have a 1/2 cup of juice before I run, then I make a strawberry smoothie with whey protein after my run. The scoop I use is only 50 calories, so my whole smoothie is only about 150 calories. It helps me eat a later breakfast (around 9:00 am) and not be starving. It's really important to replace the protein to help recovery, but I only use it for over an hour of exercise. If I run less than an hour, I don't usually have one.
Maria: Keep up the great efforts.....is now paying off!
Jeanne: Good luck with all the wedding planning! And, you will look fabulous in the dress! (We want pictures when it's over!)
Hockeychic: I am sorry that you are struggling with weight loss right now....but things will turn around soon enough!
Rubato/Cindy: How are your stomach issues? Hopefully things have calmed down for you both!
Debra: We miss you. Come back soon!
AFM: I am back on my morning schedule. I made myself run a little faster today....I have been slacking on my pace a bit. Felt like a huge effort, but it got done!
I am trying to eat a little less this week.....maybe lose a couple of pounds by the weekend???? Yeah....right!

I usually get to the gym in the evening after work and try and run in the mornings. I tend to have better pace in evening but have a much harder time motivating my self to get out the door then. Good luck with your 1/2 this weekend! I can't wait to hear about it

I'm not waiting to see it in regular font, or even bold!

I can't wait to see you in those MIB and MIG dresses, you are going to be smokin'!

I, too, never would have believed that I feel better running than not, but I do. The latte doesn't sound bad at all. I rarely get them, but when I do, I just get skim milk and no sweetener. I used to have to have all the creamy, sweet stuff, but I have adapted.

My ds and I both love cantaloupe, and 1/4 is quite filling -- and only 1 WW pt.!
I don't think I've ever asked you what type of nursing you do? My SMIL does geriatric nursing (she's been there so long that now she just goes out and visits people to determine what services they need, she doesn't really do "hands on"), and my SSIL works in the ER. DH has a friend who's a cardiac care nurse -- this guy doesn't eat vegetables and smokes like a chimney -- I find that very ironic...
I hope you continue to feel better without the soda. It is insidious and hard to let go...

to Onederland!!! I totally understand your love of the Keurig! I use mine to make hot tea and hot cocoa, and I just love it! If the caffeine is getting to you (and you like tea), there are a variety of kinds without it...
