Story time =]
3 Summers ago I started volunteering at my mom's office. I'd do little things, like stamp envelopes, copying papers and filing. Well the next summer they had me doing bigger things. Like getting on the computer and checking to see if files were closed, or open. Etc. Bigger, more complicated things. Because they were starting to earn my trust, I guess.
Well so when I started back in March, I sort of became the head boss's personal secretary. I'd do things only for her, but the problem is, she didn't have all that much for me to do. But everyone thought I was busy with her, so they didn't ask me to do things.
But today my mom was talking to one of the clerical, who didn't realize I was sitting around bored out of my mind most of the time. So the clerical supervisor has decided that me and another teen volunteer are going to start registering applications! Now, you're going WTH does that mean? Well I don't know really all the details to it, but it's something that a lot of the case workers rely on.
I am freaking jumping for joy over here. Because last summer I always asked my mother, when do you think they'll have me start registering applications...in a sort of sarcastic "yeah right" way.
I always want to feel more official, and more of a worker, with a duty in the office. I absolutely HATE being bored. So yeah, I'm really excited.
