Are there words you always misspell, even though you KNOW the correct spelling?

For me it is Towel, I always spell it with two l's (towell) and Judgment I always want to put an e in it (Judgement)

I was taught how to spell dilemma as dilemna. I know I am not the only one, apparently some textbooks in the 80's taught it this way. I remember teaching myself to pronounce the 'n' for when I am writing it.

I only discovered about 10 years ago this was wrong. :sad2: My public school edumacation failed me.

In Italian and Spanish yes, these two languages came later in my teenage years. I struggle with the written, French and English, no, just those typos, lol. Especially switching back from one keyboard to another. 🙄. I spoke both from as early as I can remember, and naturally the written when school started,

It's spellcheck's fault. I don't even try anymore to remember is it 'ible/able' or 'ent/ant.

License... spelled it right only because I used it the other day. I used to be a great spellar.
Again to add to the confusion, we use licence for the noun so ‘driving licence’ but license for the verb. The same rule that applies to practice and practise.
