Just to clarify - the $149 nook at Barnes and Noble is WiFi only (ie no 3G access).

The $149 Kindle on Woot has 3G Global Whispernet, in other words it connects to the Amazon store via the cell towers so you don't have to be connected to a computer or Internet Hot Spot to shop or connect to the internet.

Keep in mind that the Nook for $149 doesn't have 3G capabilities, only Wi-Fi. However the $149 Kindle does have 3G
