I have a headache from just looking at the forums for 2 minutes. And no more app?

Headache here, too. I've tried different styles/formats and none of them get rid of the stark white background. That's much too hard on my eyes.

I don't know if you found this yet, but you can change the style of the board. If you find your username right above the search bar in the top right, click, then click on "preferences.". The first drop down menu in preferences is called "style" - this changes the color scheme of the board. I'm using the DVC style - the background of the posts themselves is a light gray, the overall background of the page is white, and there are teal/purple accents. The grey behind the posts softens the impact on the eyes, for me at least.

Thanks for the tip! The white background is still getting to me, but maybe one of the other "styles" will deplete it enough to be bearable.

disnut - was your avatar one of the ones the DIS provided, or did you upload your own? I thought I remembered one of the posts about the change stating that the preselected avatars the DIS offered wouldn't come over, but if you had uploaded your own it would.

I wasn't sure if the grey would be enough softening for you....I'm sorry it isn't!

Hopefully that shouldn't be something too difficult to address, though - they should be able to add new styles to the ones they already have.

Maybe the brightness off your screen needs to be adjusted? I did that and it helped quite a bit.

I do like it but that's because I am already familiar with it from another disney forum. My avatar doesn't show like normal but when I click on it, it's there. Hmmm. It is a lot faster!

I miss the app! I'm so much less likely to use the mobile internet version. I'm good with everything else but I really hope they'll bring back an app!

ETA: OK, I'm exploring the desktop version now and so far, I really love it. There's some really cool features! I'm just starting to explore, but what I've seen so far, I like. But I do wish there were still an app, instead of having to use the mobile internet.
