WooHoo! Just scored the last needed day for our Christmas Fort Trip!

For all of you that are trying to book those primo days at the Fort and are running into roadblocks.... I say keep the faith and keep trying, and you'll most likely succeed.

We were looking to stay the week after Christmas of this year. I started calling for ressies, the week after Christmas of this past year and was told the entire month of December was completely booked. I then started calling every three or four days as well as checking online for openings.

Long story short, I have managed to piece together the entire week and then some on 4 different reservation numbers. Now I need to call and get all the reservation numbers linked together so we can stay on the same site for the entire trip.

Thanks guys... Historically we have been "Halloween visitors". I think we have been at the Fort for Halloween for the last 5 to 6 years because my daughter was always on school break during that time (she has always been on a year round school calendar). Since she is in the 8th grade and her last in year round school, we have to get in line with everyone else and scrape and claw for those coveted holiday times.

We have always wanted to go during Christmas to see the decorations and take part in all of the festivities. Well now we will get our chance.

Now just have to wait for another year to pass....
