WooHoo just got AKV Concierge

Just called at 11 months, not even at open, around 11:30 and was able to get an AKV concierge studio for my inlaws 9/24-10/1.

We also booked our first vacation using our new BWV points and got a 1br BW view for the same dates.

I just booked 9/25 - 10/2. I got the last studio available and I called at exactly 9:00 am.

Yeah, we are excited too. We have a studio booked from May 30 to June 9 unless we decide to shorten it by a few days since we will also be at BLT prior to moving to AKL.

What does "club level" mean?

It's the concierge level at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo House. There are a total of 10 DVC units that make up 5 2 bedrooms, that qualify for that level as DVC villas that you can book on points.

Congrats!!! You booked both of our all-time favorite rooms - AKV Club and BWV BW view. I hope you all love these locations as much as we have! (be sure and visit your in-laws while they are at AKV!)

That is great news. You may want to look into the special safari available to concierge guests.

We stayed concierge last fall and took advantage of the safari. We are definitely having them do the safari. That's the whole reason we went for concierge rather than just a savannah view for them. Well also having snacks/light meals for them will keep them happier than the meals in the park that DH and I will have planned.

Congrats! We were just at WDW and learned there are only 10 concierge rooms available for DVC, so it is a very rare and wonderful thing you got!

I was so pleased to get all of the nights we wanted! We had a concierge studio for 10 nights in '09, but we had a savanna view for the front part of the trip. This year we had a value 1 bedroom for 13 nights, but we had a pool view room for the first 2 nights. HOPEFULLY our dates won't shift so we will have the same room for the whole 15 nights next year!!

Very cool! It's funny because I just came to the board to say the same thing! We were waitlisted for concierge and weren't even notified that it came through until we got an email of our reservation today. Yay! Even cooler...we immediately called and booked the sunrise safari! We're only staying one night before our cruise. The day we check-out is my son's birthday (6 yrs old) so we'll do the safari then head over to the cruise. Yay!
