Well, on the one hand, yes, I'm very excited, l love Christmas, but on the other hand - wow, I still have so much to do!!
We're leaving for my parents' tomorrow (Christmas with them tomorrow night, then Christmas with all my extended family Thursday at lunch) then we have to hurry back here after lunch, bake the casseroles for the dinner with DH's family on Christmas Eve, then get home and get the kids to bed so Santa can come (yes, they're old enough to know the truth, but we still have to put the stuff out!). I've got to make the casseroles tomorrow before we leave; I'll barely have time to stick them in the oven to cook when we get back on Thursday.
I've done 4 loads of laundry so far today, so everything will be clean for Christmas, and because we leave on vacation on the 28th, so this weekend we've got to majorly pack plus try to get some of the decorations down before we go, and I have to work 12 hour shifts on Sat and Sun, so I can't do any laundry then.
I've baked three cakes today too. They're cooling now. I just folded the last of the laundry, but now I need to go clean up the kitchen. Oh wait - I still have two batches of cookies to bake, and I've got to assemble the breakfast casserole for Christmas morning! I totally forgot about it! Thank goodness I did buy all the stuff. I won't be going NEAR the grocery store again until after Christmas (I HOPE!!!)
Gotta go do those cookies now!!
ETA - I had to come back and clarify - I've been baking with my DD's today and we've been having a ball. They're old enough to actually help with their "helping" now

and I've just been doing laundry in between. So I am enjoying the season. It sounded like I wasn't. Just seeing "Only 3 more days" in print kind of freaked me out - lol.
