Wondering about $49 Value/PC AP rate

Hi,

I was just wondering if any disney regulars know if the $49 AP rates that some of us got for the value and PC resort has every been given before with any AP or code release by Disney in the past. I know that Disney has a $77 off season rate, but was just wondering if this is one of those once in a blue moon kind of rates or not.

We had the $49 rate in Jan 2001. I don't know how often or how many times they've done it since then but I've seen mention of the rate on the boards several times over the last 3 years. It's a fantastic rate.

Thanks for the feedback. I was just wondering since we were able to get the $49 for our trip to WDW Dec 26 to Jan 3 at Pop Century today. The way some people go on and on about high disney rates and no discounts and having to stay off site to get a deal made me believe that this $49 rate was something that had never been done before. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

I was very surprised that I was able to get the deal since the AP rates have been out since 8/28 and up until now when I called was told there weren't any AP rates left at any of the value resorts or Pop Century.

Pop Century is the resort that my girlfriend wanted to stay at, and she has been at work and doesn't know I was able to switch the reservation to the $49 rate. I am going to try and keep it a surprise and wrap the paperwork in a box and let her open it Chrsitmas day. Trust me she will be floored. We were planing to be at WDW on December 26 anyways, but just staying some place else.

We paid $49/night for ASMu in January '03 on AP rates that came out 10/28/02.

It looks like the $49 AP rate is more common than I thought. All I know is that I am sure glade it came out when it did, as was for our time period.
