My wife and I surprised my 13 and 15yo daughters with a trip to WDW this past week. We arrived at Pop the evening of Jan. 15th. Checkin was a breeze since we did most of it online. The lady in front of us slowed things down since she did not check in online and stood in the wrong line. The CM's understood and opened a new line and seemed anoyed that the online CM let the lady foul things up. Anyway, we asked for a top floor at the 70's building at the suggestion of the DIS bourds. We got everything we wanted including an end room near the elevators. Foot traffic was not an issue and all was quiet. We got aquainted with the grounds, everything pop and the food court. I highly recommend the 70's building since it is a great comprimise to the main building and very close to the busses.

Glad you had a great time! The only cure I've found for the "my trip is over blues" is to start planning another one.

Our first day was Saturday Jan. 16th. We started things off with a 9am breakfast at Ohana's. This was very cool and yummy. I love the whole family breakfast style. If you go hungry it's your fault. We got Stich, Lilo, and Pluto's signature on the Family photo.
After bfast we went to MK and had amazing luck walking into Space Mountain. We soon figuered out the crowds were way less than past January's. By 2pm we had rode Space Mountain, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Hall of Presidents, Buzz Lightyear, and Progress.
Off to Epcot at the girls request. We open that with Spaceship Earth and again walked right up to the car! Once out we got a fastpass to Test Track and went to World Showcase. Our dinner was at Le Cellar at 7pm, but we got in with a 5min wait at 6. After dinner, then the Test track. Finished with a quick trip to Downtown D.

Yes, I am trying to start the planning bug now, but my wife is not hooked like me.

Sunday the 17th we ate bfast at Pop around 11am. I like the waffles and eggs. Off to Epcot again. Another trip around the World. I dont advise this with three ladies that like to shop unless you are financialy prepared. Dinner at Chef Mickeys was fun.

I should mention that the ticket to the world is great. I activated all the keys at the risk of running up the bill. It was nice to not have to allways be at the cash register or have people come up to me only for my wallet. I am glad that my teenagers are trust worthy.

Monday the 18th started with bfast at 1900 Park Fare. We came here to see Pooh since CP is being refurbed. We were not disappointed and we also saw Mad Hatter, Alice, Mary Poppins, and Tigger. We then went to AK as none of us have ever been there. We had only a 30min wait for Dinosaur which was very cool. We got a fast pass for Everest then went to see the Nemo show. I am not a show guy but it is very nice. More shopping as we were heavily into pin trading and looking for a kaky expidition shirt. We walked into Yak and Yeti's for a snack and ended up sharing appetizers. After that was Everest. Wow that is cool, but I do miss what is described as the original Yety experience. You only see him very briefly. We ended with the Safari. It was good, but I did not feel it was true Disney magic. I imagine the cooler weather might have spooked the animals, but I have seen the same thing at my local zoo, even in a open setting. Dinner was at Fultons in DTD followed by more shopping.

Tuesday the 19th was bitter sweet. Everyone knew it was the last day. We went to watch MK open as we have missed it every other morning. Off to epcot to find a lego book at mission space. Then we took the boat ride to HS. We walked in to Star tours then got a Fast pass to toy story then a danish. Shopping on the way to a short 40 min wait for Tower. Went back to the Indy show then the Movie show. Toy story was fun, but the fast pass was still a 20min wait. Off to dinner at sci fi. The concept is fun, but the menu is very limited and the food is not real good. Then off to Rockin Roller and a nighttime Tower to finish the trip. We ended the trip with another DTD for last minute shopping.

Thanks for the TR- great to hear from a dad who lets those girls shop!

It is against every bone in my cheap body. This trip might be the last for my girls as kids so I did not want to restrict to much.

With the surprise of the trip on xmas, I had a $50 gift card in their stockings. Mom and I fudged and helped with the pin collecting.
