You are a good kid Kim. We lost both of our parents several years ago. We did and paid for all kinds of short trips and lunches/dinners for both our parents. Neither of our parents wanted to go too far from home. They just didn't feel comfortable traveling long distances. And, it was fun going places with them. Now, flash forward to the present, and our kids don't seem to think ol' Mom and Dad here know how to have a good time. We took our son and granddaughter over to WDW shortly after they moved in with us after his divorce. It was her first trip to the most "Magical Place on Earth." He did nothing but complain the whole time. He is not a Disney fan. (I still tell Donna I don't think he is related to either one of us!)

Now he has remarried to someone who also is not a Disney fan.

Now our granddaughter, his daughter, is a huge Disney fan like ol' Nana & Papa. We have taken her on several Disney cruises and trips to WDW. When ever she goes with us it's like 3 kids at the park or on the cruise!!! Our daughter is a big Disney fan like her Mom & Dad. (She even looks kinda, sorta like good ol' Dad. Poor kid!!!)

She has her own family with 3 kids that they are struggling to make it in todays economy. So we don't really expect them to pay for a trip or cruise. (Now, if she wins the lottery, that will be a different story all together!!!)

We have gone over to WDW a few times together. They pay for their portion and we pay for ours. (But we do buy all of the souvenirs for everyone, and most of the meals.) Was that TOO much info offered???!!?
