Wonder, Waves and Wishes. 18th October 2009. Remembering the waves!

We received our Fish Extender in the mail today! Yay! It is so cool - we bought it off of ebay, but we had it customized a bit! We did a double sided FE - with one side that is regular 'cruisin' with the kecks' and the other side is "pirate night" with mickey, minnie, goofy, and donald in pirate gear! We are so excited - I will try to take pictures and post them later...

Just wanted to let you know that my sister, Amber (33), her boyfriend, Bill (56) and her daughters Kylie (9) and Kobe (6) will also be on the cruise and in room 5518. I'm trying to get her on the disboard! ;)

I believe Mathhewsmom1 has the list of everyone who is participating in the fish extender. I cannot remember what our room number is... maybe 2564 or at least that is close. Our FE is "custom" made by us. It didn't occur to me about doing something on the back. What a great idea.

I wanted to upload a pik of my fish extender...but I can't figure out how - if you know - please share with me! :)

I hear that a lot of people use photo bucket. I have not used it, but I hear that it's "easy" to use. I need to put a couple of finishing touches on ours too and I'll try to post a pic as well.

We received a cruise planning guide in the mail today! Yay! It has the shore excursions, etc. Very exciting - makes it feel like it's almost here!

Anyone else on a "diet and exercise" program for the cruise? "wonder"ing if you want to create a group and keep each other motivated? :yay:

Yes, I am trying to use a little and would love to encourage and be encouraged!!!:grouphug:

For those of you that wanted to see what some of the FE things we received on our last cruise (we just went with the DISpodcast) this is a photo!

Keep in mind we had about 80 cabins in the exchange, and everything but the canvas podcast cruise bag and the blue bag on the left was from FE's.....

WHOA!!! How did you have room to bring all of that home. That is amazing!! Did you all just pick a day that you would pass out your items? That's also a lot to buy for too.

We passed ours out a deck or two at a time when we had a few extra minutes. And actually what we got took up about the same space as what we brought to trade! So it worked out pretty well. But just in case I had a fold up duffel bag in the suitcase pocket. A couple people boxed their stuff up in a prepaid flat fee priority mail box and sent it home from the hotel.

Just thought I'd share the goodies!

Got ours yesterday too!!! There wasn't anything in there that I didn't already know, but I read it front to cover, twice. It is very exciting!!!

We got the same amount of stuff on our cruise. I think instead of me buying a bunch of little stuff I might just buy 1 good thing per room. Are we going to have a cut off for FE participants so we know how many treats to bring???

On our cruise we played the Dis Tag for our FE. Each person got a list and a magnet. You would go down the list and visit those staterooms in the order they appeared on your list. Then you would put the magnet on their door and it was their turn to leave a treat. It worked out pretty good.

That has been what I've been concerned with. I wanted to keep a good handle on how many people I needed to buy or make things for. I think that's a good idea. So on your last cruise, you just had a certain number of people and certain ones? That would make my life so much easier. I want this to be a lot of fun and the planning for FE has been a blast, but I don't want to miss anyone or go broke either.

I have a question that's probably been answered and re-answered, but I don't have time to research it. Maybe someone here knows. What happens if we do not use all of our onboard credits? Do we get that money back in cash, card, etc?

Good morning! I was just reading some threads and thought I'd share this with anyone who is in the dark as I (was). Did you know that you can take a pillowcase, photo mat, place mat, etc to Guest Services and they will have the characters sign them for you? You take those items to GS, fill out a form on how the item is to be signed and who, like princesses, all, etc and you get it back on the last night. We're definitely going to do that. Haley is not excited about standing in line again for autographs. She'll still take her autograph book and I still want photos with the characters, but this would be something really cool to bring home and display. Just thought I'd share. If anyone has done this, please share.

Hi, We (DS and I) did the Wonder last September and we took along a princess pillowcase from home and took to GS and had signatures put on it for my niece. They did a fantastic job! They like a plain pillowcase, but did a great job on the princess one. Nice gift.

Does Sept 1 sound like a good cut off for the Fish Extender list???? That way it gives those of us participating 1 1/2 month to get everything together...

We're going to do this too. DD11 feels too old for that, but I have a great nephew and great niece who would love it. That would be a nice Christmas gift.

I would be surprised if you got the money back in cash. I would call to find out.
