Does anyone know if this mean those of us that don't do FB are excluded from the FE group being organized there? If so, are there other non-FB people that would like to participate in a DIS FE group? Or even FB people that would like to participate in both FE groups? If there is interest, we can do a DIS FE exchange, that way people can choose one or the other or even do both.
The Facebook site has the same email address to sign up.. Disneycruiselady. I did email that a month or so ago but never got a response. My name is on the list on the first page of this forum.. ) At least with the cruise being over a year away there is still plenty of time to figure it all out. 
I have friends that are about to leave on a back to back on the Fantasy this Saturday and I am SOOOO jealous!!

The second leg of my back to back is even more confusing to me, as the FB FE organizer has never posted on the DIS, so they may just want to organize for FB, which is fine, or they may want to include both discussion boards, I'm just not sure.

As far as I know, there is one FE group and there is no more activity on FB than there is here regarding the organization (just so you don't feel like there are FB users that are happily chatting away about FE stuff and it isn't being discussed here.

Hi all! I'm new to the DIS boards although I have read a few posts here and there as referred by a friend. I heard this was the best place for cruises so here I am
My boyfriend and I will be on this sailing, my 3rd Disney cruise, his first! We have a Celebrity Cruise in the meantime out of San Juan to hold us over. I could only convince him to try Disney with the lure of no flight!
We will be driving down from Dallas - still unsure if day before or day of, or stop in Houston for the night before. Any insights from those who may have done it? I work for a hotel company so I actually need to book my room a year in advance if we are going to stop somewhere! First thing to figure out I guess!
I also requested a join in the FB group that was posted. Hoping to try out my first FE but gotta decide if I'll really be able to commit yet.
I am very jealous of your cruise out of San Juan 
We were supposed to be on the Magic in a couple of weeks out of San Juan but had to cancel because of work commitments 
I hate it when paying for the cruise gets in the way of GOING on the cruise!

I have met some wonderful friends through the DIS on prior cruises it's a shame that there seems to be total separation happening these days.

I know your hotel situation will be different if you are trying to get a comp room etc, but my advice if you are coming down the night before is to drive through Houston and go to Galveston. Galveston has quite a lot to offer and is more of that "laid back" pre-vacation feel than Houston, which is basically the same as Dallas in terms of big city etc. I can certainly give you some info though on hotel location etc if you want to try and stay in the Houston area because of your work restriction.
You have plenty of time to decide if you want to commit to the FE.

I understand. It's not the best of drives but I will warn you that you will probably want to get the other side of downtown Houston on Thursday with no traffic rather than do the drive in rush hour on Friday. Either way I am happy to help with whatever I can. I think we may down the night before so we don't have to deal with Friday traffic but we shall figure that out much closer to the time. Last time we sailed from Galveston on a Friday the Thursday night rates down there weren't too bad.Thank you for the warm welcome! We would be heading out after work on Thursday so my concern is getting stuck in too much traffic and wanting to stop before the entire drive is up. But I like the idea of a "laid back" feel. I'll send you a PM with my hotel company because I would love some specific recommendations! We haven't ventured towards that part of the state at all yet, only moved here 2 years ago

Yes!! The crazy rain-out in Key West. It was "awful" for us to have to wait it out at Hogs Breath Saloon ;-). Our friends got soaked all the way through though, they were like you and drowned rats headed back to the ship!! WDW instead of Nassau would be awesome, especially as WDW will be somewhat low crowds at that time of year. We probably won't get off the ship in Nassau. We are mulling over a private snorkeling excursion as we haven't done anything like that there yet. The temperatures at that time of year may be a little bit chilly is the only thing.
Having two separate itineraries made it a perfect B2B opportunity and I've always dreamed of doing one. Two weeks onboard just seems like a dream vacation. No grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, or laundry (because I already told DH that I am sending out clothes to be cleaned! LOL) for two weeks!! That's crazy talk!!
