Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

Just paid my final payment this morning and when I logged on I found that DCL changed my room #. I had 5501 sideways cat 11 booked. Now I see they put me in 6105 regular cat 11. Very disappointed not to have the sideways cabin.

Someone on the thread I posted said that there was a problem with that room for the PC cruise prior to our 2 day and that someone else was kicked out of that room as well. :confused3

That's a bummer!

While I'm sorry about your cabin, you made me smile as we had originally had a sideways 11 when they first released the cruise and then switched to a 12 when they released those to save the $20 each. Now I know we made the right choice. If having a sideways 11 isn't guaranteed, I'd rather save the $$ since it's only two nights.

that is a bummer booking the sideways 11 and then getting a regular one. I didn't think of that when booking. Wouldn't mind being upgraded but wouldn't necessarily be happy with a lateral move.

Congrats!

I have a friend who it trying to get on this cruise....waiting with baited breath!

.

I know someone who has been trying to book this cruise, too. I even had a couple of staterooms to give to her. But, when we tried to rebook them in her name, the were instantly snapped up!!. I think that she is still trying. I hope that she and everyone else who is trying to book this cruise is successful.

Thanks for the congrats!!!

Still nothing showing up. I believe that today is the day that it needs to be paid off so those needing cabins should be checking tomorrow. (Or 9pm pacific today if their going strictly by the clock on that deadline.)

It is today! I was on this morning about 2AM and it was sold out!

:cool1: Congrats to those who are PIF! :cool1:
pixiedust: And pixie dust to all those hoping to book! pixiedust:

On the EBTA, there was a room that came up after the PIF date, so it could happen, sometimes plans change!

Here they come! Just saw a 04B and 04A pop up at 12:09am EST.

Update: And they're gone, as of 12:18.

Just spoke with DCL....still no information on dining rotations or shows.
Anyone have any luck with booking another cabin last night?

Good thing I checked on my reservation yesterday. It showed that I still owed 1 cent :scared1: Weird. So I called and corrected the issue before my reservation was canceled for not being paid off. I can also confirm that they still dont know what dining rotations will be. They said theyve been getting a lot of calls this weekend for people trying to book the cruise.

I also noticed as of yesterday night, there were no more Palo reservations available.

So happy I booked right when they came out.

I know GTYs don't always know before they get to the port, but I'm wondering if anyone with a GTY has a room assignement yet? I'm in an 11C GTY, which I assume I'll keep, since the cruise has been sold out for so long. But I want to know which one! :lmao:

I am still waiting as well I am a 11c GTY with a 10 year old girl, maybe we will be close.

We are GTY for the PC cruise and joke we are in the lifeboats! :lmao:

Well, I'm thinking that we need to mark this cruise as officially sold out. I haven't seen any new cabins come available.

Dang, Des. it's the first I've noticed but you've one heck of a collection of countdown tickers. Way to go!

This is normally my modus operandi too. But with the cruise being so short, I'm thinking that I may not have time to rebook onboard. Besides, I'll be on the Magic next October and I can book a cruise then if I so desire. So I'm really torn. I really don't have any plans to cruise again until 2013 but one never knows when a particularly attractive set of circumstances will appear and allow for a cruise earlier than anticipated.

Steve, on my one and only prior cruise, i went to book a new cruise but the booking agent wasn't there so another employee told me to fill out a card on the desk & that they would get back to me. The card let you choose a date for the cruise you wanted and you put down your home address & home phone. I ended up actually speaking to someone & did not use the card. But at the time i wondered if what would happen if i filled one out & they didnt get back to me during the cruise, would they call me after the cruise & would i still get the discount? I also wondered if they called you back when you were still on the boat, would they give you a specific time to meet with them so you would not have to wait in line? Does anyone else have experience with this? TIA!

I've heard that if you fill out the card, you will get the rebooking rate. They normally just charge the deposit to the card you have on file for the trip.

Guess I will officially check in for this cruise now. It was up in the air until the last minute. My son just started a new school and they are very strict about missing days. I just got the permission to take him out on Friday, so I gave my TA (:wave2: Des) the go ahead to PIF.

It will be myself and my DS15. This will be my 4th Disney cruise and his 3rd. We've never been on the Wonder, so looking forward to finding the small differences between her and the Magic. I looked through the roll call and recognize a few names, looking forward to seeing some old friends again.

I won't be home in 2011! :rotfl2:
