Wonder - January 21, 2011 The Cruise To Nowhere In Particular..

My day is 10/23, too. I will be at WDW getting ready for my cruise. I am trying to decide if I should try to book from there @ midnight or see if DU can book a brunch for me. Does antone have experience with DU booking brunch on their behalf?

I've never had them do I for me, but my guess is that since the reservations open promptly at midnight. EST. You'd need a dedicated TA to snag that for you. Being in WDW at the time, you will need to be up then as well to make them yourself. One if the benefits of being a westcoaster us that I can make my ressies at 9pm on the 22nd. And still get a good nights sleep.

Yes, I think that it is great being on the West Coast for booking purposes. Unfortunately, this time on Oct. 23rd, I will be on the Magic, so I don't know how I am going to do that. We will have to wait and see. I would love to get Palo brunch for my mom.

That's my situation, too: live on West Coast but will be on East Coast for 10/23 Eastern, and want to book brunch for my mom.

Ok..I just booked my Palo and spa treatment...

For Palo they have brunch every half an hour starting at 10 A.M. until 12 PM.

High tea at 3 PM

Dinner on the 21st every half an hour from 6 PM - 8:30 PM and on the 22nd every half an hour from 6PM - 9 PM

They say they have an excursion but when you click on the button..nothing happens!

As for the Spa... of the treatments they show.. about half of the different massage treatsments show taken. Some have treaments Fri afternoon/evening..some only on Saturday. It looked like the manicures and pedicures are still pretty much open.

This doesn't mean that they are not holding some back for guests in the next round...I am just reporting what they are currently showing.

Hope this helps!

Thanks:thumbsup2 I would love to be able to do brunch and dinner, guess we'll see what's left on Oct 23rd.

PS: Disney is doing a live Ustream on their new promotion at 9:45 (PST), here's the link.

What's really a bummer for me is that I will be a Gold Castaway Club member as of the 23rd of October. That is the 90 day mark for Silver. Boy, if this October cruise was a couple of weeks earlier, I would be able to book at 105 days out. Oh well, I will be GOLD by the time we do cruise!!!

Wow! That really is a bummer!

I'm still hoping for a pirate night! I'm starting to get excited for this cruise as it seems like it's getting closer now. :cool1:

My guess is there will not be a Pirate Night...and there will be a performance of one of the shows (hopefully Disney Dreams).

I'll even bet a whole dime that this is what they do. (not much of a gambler....)

.

If anyone is interested..I went ahead and just released the CAT 9 I had for a client... I think it will only allow you to book 2 guests even though it holds 4 :(

The ship is at capacity.

Having a bit of bad luck, like everyone else is these days.

Days before my DS20 went back to college he totalled my completely loved PAID IN FULL suburban. No one injured thank the Lord.

Have no car until we get the insurance check.....over a month - during summer - DD and I spend lots of time walking to the pool ;)

We buy our new car and the second day, Labor Day, I get this great idea to drive it to San Jose (from Orange County) to visit my son in college and see his new apartment. Hubby has a court appearance there on Tuesday - so cancel his flight and take DD12 up with us to visit son.

Labor Day, Monday, after driving up there I'm cooking dinner for my son and his roommates who want a home made dinner. Send DH out to the store.
Hmmm, he's gone too long and somethings wrong. DH turned in front of a metro train - onto the tracks - dragging him 50 yds or more. He climbs out of the passenger side. Thank the Lord he only had broken ribs and a concussion. He was only worried that he totalled my brand new car on Day2.

We were truly blessed...until we learned we only had liability! But good, because apparently we have to pay for the damage to the train!!!!

Come home, 3 days later my son at college gets his new bike stolen :scared1::scared1: jeez.

So now I'm waiting for another car ;) more importantly, I have my husband. My wonderful brother who is also an attorney drove up the next morning to help my hubby at his court appearance because he was still in shock! He couldn't function. Then my brother drove us home and loaned me a spare car until I get another one :hug:

I need some pictures.....:grouphug: THANK GOODNESS this cruise is paid for and I don't have to drive anywhere ;)

P.S. I'm thinking about getting the same car...it saved my hubby's life :littleangel:

Oh My! I am so sorry! I am glad everyone is alive and healing but so much to have happened! I will keep your family in my thoughts that they all heal quickly and everything gets resolved quickly.

Wow! That is so major bad luck! I am so glad that no one was seriously injured (although, I've broken a bunch of ribs in a motorcycle accident and know that it's no picnic!) Things can be replaced. people can't. That's the BIG lesson that my job teaches me nearly every day.

LOVE all the pictures!! We are getting so excited for our first cruise :yay:

I have a question on legal docs that maybe someone can answer. We don't have passports and I know we don't need them for this cruise. It says we can use just our certified birth certificates and photo ID. I have those - but my birth certificate is in my maiden name of course - and my photo ID is in my married name. Has anyone ever had a problem with that? Do I need to bring our marriage license too? I never really thought much about it until just now!

Thank you all my friends and thank you lvstitch for the pics. I loved the pictures of The Dream! That is very exciting!

I received our fish extender today!!!! Purchased it from gradysmommy on Ebay. I love it and believe me, it is much better "in person" then on the photos on ebay. The detail is beautiful! There are no patches! My daughter was so excited and it's hanging in my family room for us to look at everyday :banana: I can't believe I only paid $20 for it.:lovestruc

We are so excited to participate in this! Even though DD is in 6th grade, I can tell she is very excited about the idea of not just receiving but giving. It will be something very fun for us on our mother/daughter quick getaway week end :cloud9:

Getting so excited now! :woohoo:

I do. I have two kids with my ex - remarried and have a wonderful daughter. I wanted to wait until my two kids were 18 before I changed my last name, i.e., get through high school. We cruised many times during this time we we all had different last names.

I brought my birth certificate, marriage license, divorce papers, new marriage license, photo id, and even my gym pass that said my name-hypen-married name, my costco card and Auto Club card that said my maiden name and married name. Oh, and also a notarized note from my ex just in case :rolleyes1 :laundy:

If we were disembarking, I'd worry about it. It's harder to register for little league in my area than it is to board a ship that goes to nowhere :rotfl2::rotfl2::yay:

Passports make everything so easy :)
