Wonder if I've "fried" my stove?

Buckler, thank you so much. I believe you've worked as hard as I have searching for info. If you were local, I'd take you to lunch. THANK YOU FOR BEING SO KIND!!! :flower3:

You're welcome. Google likes me! :goodvibes

Be sure to update us with what happens. I'd try to get it serviced under the warranty due to a defective seal if it turns out that water got in behind the control panel.

I just consulted Consumer Reports.
Unfortunately, Kitchenaid has the worse brand reliability in electric ranges of all brands they compared. And you've sort of experienced that already with 4 repairs in 3 yrs.

Not sure if you can see this link without being logged in.

This is why I ended up with a different brand for each appliance. :sad2: Seems each company is good at one or 2 appliances, but not all appliances. :guilty:

Thanks SILENT! Nope, the site won't let me view but I believe you. Just google my range model number and I feel sure a pic of garbage will come up.

Getting ready to pour some wine to try and unwind before DH gets home. :woohoo: Running this late, there's no doubt he's had a bad day. Oh goody!

:::running to see who made my stove::: Whirlpool. :woohoo:

It is flat out ridiculous that one boil-over can ruin a stove of any type. I hope things work out better than you think they will.
