Just got back today from our first Disney cruise on the Wonder! We did the 3 day cruise, and will definitely opt for a longer one next time out... everything was awesome, despite some uncertainty leading up to the 4th as to whether Hanna would spoil things. Our kids, 6 and 3 1/2 yrs, had a ball on the "Mickey boat," and didn't want to get off this morning. It was a bit rough enroute to Nassau on the first night, but settled down nicely...my wife was soooo thankful for the scopolamine patch! After seeing Nassau, we agreed with other posts we'd read, that Disney could skip Nassau in lieu of a second day at Castaway Cay.... We're toying with doing another cruise around Feb 09 for our daughter's birthday... :cool1:

Glad you had a good trip. We used to cruise in Sept all the time, and loved it. But it seems like the weather is so bad now during this time, I'm afraid to plan a trip during Hurricane season again. Glad to hear your trip worked out.

On the FL-Nassau leg, they were calling the seas as 8-13 feet, with a "moderate gale." The next morning, as we were coming into Nassau, the seas didn't look bad at all...yet the wind up on deck 9 (or was it 10?) above the bridge was strong enough to make it difficult to walk against it... I see you have a cruise coming up soon :) We're looking into the early part of next year...

We have gone in Sept, Dec, and March and decided March is our favorite time. When the kids get older and we don't have to follow school schedules, DH and I will probably look at less expensive times, but still in the first part of the year instead of hurricane season.

We are on the March 8th four night next year. We went on this one two years ago and the weather was the best of any of our previous 7 cruises, so we are hoping it is good again.

That would be an excellent birthday present! My grand daughter also calls it the Mickey boat. cute.
Do you remember what movies were playing on the Wonder? We are going on the 25th and I was just curious.

We were on the Cruise as well, and boy after the 1st night I didn't think we'd make it Nassau. I will admit after we sat down for dinner I began to feel pretty green.
Did anyone notice the ship that left port around 30 mins ahead of us for Nassau never made it. I was talking to a few people on the shuttle returning from budget car rental, they were getting on that ship, so I know they were suppose to be in Nassau the next morning.
I also could do without the stop in Nassau and head straight for Castaway Cay.
