Hi gang! It's great to connect with all of you. My partner Douglas:donald:and I (Ben):goofy:are really looking forward to this being our first Disney cruise! We will also be staying at Aulani for a couple of days following. September can't get here fast enough.

Congrats on your first Disney Cruise!

Does anyone know what time the shuttles start taking people from the Vancouver Airport to the Disney Cruise Ship? I have asked the Mom's Panel but I have not had a response as of yet.

Welcome! The disboards don't like us posting links to other social media, so you'll have to search us out there on your own. I can include you in the FE if you would like to PM me with your names and cabin number(s).
It's going to be a great cruise.

Hi All, so I wanted to share some information for the people that are staying Aulani after the cruise. If any of you are still looking for transportation from the cruise ship port to the resort go through Speedi Shuttle (Aulani uses them exclusively, see Aulani's website) They are the largest car service company in all the islands and are cheaper then the transfers Disney Cruise Line offers. Speedi quoted me tonight for the 3 of us, including 2 pieces of luggage and one carry on $57 for one way and the same price back to the airport. Disney Cruise price is $115 each person one way ($345 total for one way). Just trying to help save some money.

That is great info! Thanks! I have to say that I'm impressed that there are three of you on a 10 day cruise and a stay at Aulani with only two suitcases and one carry-on. You are obviously a much better packer than I am! :-)

I didn't add "per person" to the "2 suitcases and one carry on.

Trust me I am not that good of a packer one suitcase will be shoes! It was 2 suitcases and 1 carry on per person.

I also called back Dishey cruise Lines and confirmed the $115 per person and that is round trip. NOT one way per person, so it is $345 round trip. I thought it was too high, especially for Disney!

We are a family of 4 and I am hoping to bring 2-3 suitcases total and 1 carry on per person (4 total) as we have to pay per checked bag on our flight, so any packing techniques would be appreciated!

does anyone know where we dock in O'ahu in relation to Honolulu / Waikiki Beach area? Thinking of hiring a car but unsure how far we'd need to travel in order to pick it up.

I usually roll all of our clothes, creates more space. All of the dressy wear we have travels well but you can always send items to be steamed. I also try and fit my shoes inside each other and keep them all in one bag. Use space bags when possible. I know I will be taking luggage for each of us, we are gone 3 weeks, but I do plan on taking of advantage of the self service laundry on board. Good luck LovetoCruise2015!

I googled this the other day, I think the port is by the Aloha Tower and it is downtown Honolulu. We have hired a car service, Speedi Shuttle, to take us Aulani. The best bet would be to call Disney Cruise Lines and ask. They might be able to get you a deal with a local car service or rental car company.

Thanks Vickirowell I will try rolling our clothes when I am packing and hopefully it will save me some space in our luggage.

I started rolling clothes on our last cruise. It does help. We put t-shirts and things in the drawers that way too. It's easy to see the one you want without digging.

excursions opened up today for me. check your excursions that you wanted dcl added some new ones. one of the new ones I wanted wasnt showing up that you could actually book. so i called dcl and told them than they added it for me. so if the excursion you want is not showing up call dcl and see. hope everyone gets what they want.

Hello, my mother, sister, and I will be joining this cruise! We do a girls cruise every year and are very excited to head to Hawaii! My sister and I are staying a couple of days after at Aulani too. We've all been to Honolulu before and are also interested in renting a car at the cruise terminal, possible for both days we are there and then just return it at the Alamo desk at Aulani. I'd love to hear if anyone finds out anymore information on this.

Does anyone know if we will be within walking distances to shops, etc at the various ports we will be stopping at in Hawaii?

You might want to check out a social media sight I can't mention here, for this cruise. There are some pretty knowledgeable people on there.

I'm torturing myself by doing a whole bunch of research for this cruise. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for a cruise to happen and it's killing me. You people that booked opening day or shortly there after I give you major applause.
