Women's Dress code 3 day wonder

My mother will be joining us for our May 13, cruise. This being her first cruise she is very concerned about what she should wear to dinner. Being a male, and lacking the appropriate knowledge of women's fashion, I am having trouble explaining to her the appropriate attire. I would just like to have her a bit more informed before she begins her pre-cruise shopping spree. Thanks in advance!!

With the exception of the more formal night in Tritons, where a dress with short or long sleeves (does not have to be overly dressy) would certainly be appropriate, slacks (no jeans) and a nice top & sweater, or a pants suit would be acceptable in any of the other dining rooms.
