I don't buy clothes for myself very often. I don't enjoy trying on clothes and I hate spending $25 on one item. I've never spent $50 on one item unless it was a quality pair of shoes or coat. If I need clothes, I look for a sale or on the clearance rack. The last couple of times I bought clothes, I went to Kohl's. I used to shop Target, but I found the clothes were not the best quality. Well, it turns out Kohl's is not much better. The clothes fade or threads come off the clothes or tiny holes appear.

Since I don't buy clothes very often, I would be willing to spend a little more now if I could get something that will still look good 6-12 months later.

Any favorite places or tips?

Thanks!

Chico's. Ann Taylor. Coldwater Creek. Not cheap but good quality and they stand behind there products. If you catch the end of season sales or go to there outlets you can get some good pieces and add to your wardrobe over time.

Try an Eddie Bauer outlet. Good quality better prices than the regular store.

Athleta clothes are very nice & very good quality & they always have stuff on sale. I love their low rise dipper pant, it's the best pair of pants I have ever owned.
