I have a question. It is sort of embarrassing so don't be judgemental. I think that I may have a problem but I was wondering if any one out there is a little extra sweaty under the arms. I would really love some tips on how to control it because I feel so embarressed. The stress seems to add to it. It gets a little better in Disney because I am not so nervous. i just really would love some help. :scared:

The best deodorant I have used is Arm and Hammer for women. I tend to sweat alot, and it's especially worrisome to me when I'm in the heat, and this works best.

Bring a backpack to the parks with you, and bring a roll of deodorant, and baby wipes with you. I find if I wipe off the old stuff, be reapplying, then it's more effective. Rather than just putting on layers and layers.

One tip....the parks don't seem to sell deodorant ( i forgot mine one day) and I asked the CM at the big store in Epcot if they had any. They did have some behind the counter, but they only had mens. I bought it anyway, figuring smelling like a fresh clean man, was better than smelling like a dirty, sweaty woman! :lmao:

Love it! I, too, went through a period in my life where my underarms seemed to be FAUCETS... I'm not kidding. For about 6 months I could put on a shirt and 5 minutes later the armpits would be wet! :scared:

I found that this product really worked for me during what I now fondly refer to as my "drippy phase." :rotfl:

Thanks so much for the help! I may try that product that you recomended! It looks like it may work for me:)

You might also want to mention it to your doctor, they can offer you advice and possibly even a prescription to remedy it.

I find switching deodorants daily helps. I keep 3 different kinds- Secret Platinum, Reg Secret and Degree and use a different one everyday. I'm not sure that there is any real science there, but it works for me- just like switching shampoo for my hair.

I don't switch daily, but I do switch every couple of months. I use Secret, Sure, and Degree. I do believe there is some sort of science behind it.

I have to wash my underarms with antibacterial soap. Then I vary between mitchum and arm/hammer deoderant. There is something called complacency with your body. Eventually your body will get used to whatever deoderant, shampoo, conditioner your using and it won't be as effective anymore. Switching keeps that from happening. Hope this helps.;)

Make an appointment with a dermatologist. They have new treatments for this that work wonders. One is actually using botox under your arms, stops sweating for months. This is a medical condition, they have other treatment alternatives. No antipersperant with really help with this.

I can totally relate! I'm 26, and less than 10 years ago I was in the same situation you are. I found that the Secret Platinum (the kind that clicks up through holes) worked the best. I also had to switch fairly often, and used Sure and Degree when the Secret didn't work. I also used body powder under my arms which seemed to help. I asked my doctor and he said it was a phase and I'd grow out of it, which I did. It certainly doesn't hurt to ask your doctor though. Lots of people have overactive sweat glands and there are more powerful antiperspirants available with a prescription.

There is a great one in the stores called Certain-Dri. You put it on at night before you go to bed and it works wonders. I use to have that problem but ever since I started using it - no more problems. You don't use it everyday either. Apply before going to bed every couple of days. I didn't think it would work but it does! DO NOT apply it after shaving...bad sting!!!!! Hope you find something that helps!

I teach preschool and run around in 90 degree heat 8 hours a day. I relized early on that I sweat alot. Try speed stick. I use the green lidded kind. Its marked for men but I adore it.

This is from my daughter (now 31), and it works great for me, too. Secret invisible solid followed by Secret spray. We've been doing this for the last 7 or 8 years, and we have no problems. I hope something like this works for you as well as it does for us.

I have to second Certain-Dri!! Really works great.

Also, just as a fashion tip...wearing either black or really dark shirts or white shirts or tanks will hide any sweat stains! That is sometimes the worst part of it. I once had a really darling picture of myself and boy I had a huge crush on...and the only thing that rendered it unframeable was the sweat stain on my tank top...MORTIFIED!!!

Also, you can get prescription deoderants that will help with the wetness. My college roommate had this problem. She ended up doing the botox b/c her problem was so bad that sweat would drip down her side and she'd have tracks down her shirts. It was really awful for her and she is so thankful for the botox treatments. She always says "give me crows feet, but stop up the sweat!":rotfl:

I notice that switching up every once in a while helps me too! So maybe as an extra thought on top of other things, switch every so often.

There are 2 things that help, After you use your deodorant set it with Johnson's Baby Powder the one that is PURE CORNSTARCH.

And

My Dd has found that the Jafra brand Deodorant really stops the wetness.
you can do a google search for Jafra Cosmetics[they are like Avon]or look in your local phone book.
