WOC desert party

They didn’t have any glow items for kids when I’ve gone in the past. I heard that they did when the show was new.
I know they had a glow cup at least five years ago (maybe four years ago) because I was considering taking my son. And then I didn’t and I remember seeing that they went away. Honestly the value isn’t great for the kids! They should cost less since they aren’t consuming alcohol and don’t get anything in its place.

Thank you so much for taking the time to report back and share your pictures. It's very helpful :)

I remember they used to have those light up cups for the kids, but it was a long time ago. It would be nice if they added something like that, or special buttons or lanyards like you get at some meals.

I've never seen World Of Color so I can't compare that view to a standing view. Do you miss parts of the show that are right on the water? I'm short and have a bad back so I'll do the dessert party either way, but I'm just curious.

For short people/small people (aka tiny toddlers/kids) do y'all recommend sitting in the high chairs or low ones up front?

Also, if our WOC Dessert Party says 8 pm, does that mean we sit there for an hour until the show starts at 9 pm or something else? Curious, never done this before :)

And thanks so much on the super awesome review, details, and pictures!

We went in 2017 and they had the light up cups. They are actually pretty cool.

Best for small people might be the front-row high tables.

Yes, once you’re seated you are there until the show starts. We weren’t seated until about 8:15 and we were among the first people.

The lower half of the water screens were cut off from our vantage point. Full view at the rail, but also water spray (we felt a hint of spray even back a ways, but it was windy last night).

This is probably a silly question about a dessert party, but we are all about the seating and not being crammed together. So one of our party is a diabetic, do they have any sugar free dessert options. I mean of course the cheese and a little fruit is fine, but it would be nice if you could make that request, if available. I know they accommodate allergies, so maybe?

My DH doesn’t drink so the value for him
was mainly the chair! It meant we weren’t completely wiped out last night and were able to make it for rope drop this morning.

I’m sure you could request. Maybe e-mail the address listed earlier in this thread for info? But it might be the fruit plate.

Honestly I’m more about the chair too. The food and drink is fine but no way I’m standing a couple hours before and during the show with a bad knee.

I’m just curious, has WOC DP ever been buffet style like the one at Magic Kingdom? Or has it always been plated? Can you ask for more items? Or it’s a one plate all around. Just wondering because someone in our party probably would only eat the cheesecake on the plate 😂

Is this for the 8pm reservation?
And thank you for the review. Hope you guys had a good time.
