Just wondering what to expect form a woods view room at the WL. Has anyone asked to upgrage and got one. I will be there next week. w/e 7/5. Thanks

We booked a woods view room for our May trip. I faxed a request to have bunk beds and a view of the otter pond and that's what we got (room 2012). It was very quiet and the view included the pond and a lot of trees. The balcony was nice but it got very sunny and hot during the day (the good part is our swim socks and DD pool toys dried really quickly out there). We did upgrade to concierge access when we arrived ($45 per night) but stayed in our original room since there weren't any like we'd asked for on the 7th floor. With the upgrade we had turndown service and the refreshments.

Have a great trip.

I booked a woods view and asked to be put at the end of the wing which is facing the lake but the waterview is obscured by trees. I got what I asked for and could see the water in spots and the boats docking to pick people up to go to MK. I could see parts of the electrical water pagent. My room number was 2001. This had a full "stone' balcony so you could not see through a railing. The opening was also smaller so to see out at anything ( other than the tops of the trees) you had to stand. The rooms above me didn't have this kind of balconey so 3001, 4001, and 5001 would be a little better.

We stayed in 3001 in 2001 and it too had a stone balcony. But the view was great anyway.

We booked a woods view, but were surprised with an upgrade to courtyard view. We didn't ask -- they just gave it to us!

Having had the courtyard view once, I think I would now be disappointed with a standard or a woods view. The courtyard view was WONDERFUL, and my husband particularly enjoyed it. However, it was a bit noisy mid-day and in the evenings when lots of people were out there. It didn't really bother us, but light sleepers might have been annoyed.
