I keep hearing all kinds of wonderful stuff about the courtyard view, but I have booked a woods view. Please tell me something about the woods view. Do I need to change?

Hi, we had a woods view in January (didn't know you could request views). Trees were all you did see. It wasn't a problem for us as we're not in the room that often and it was nice to leave the curtains open for the morning sun. Personally, I would not change, but views are not that important to us.

I love the look of the courtyard view but we have 2 small ones....If they can SEE the pool, the want to BE in the pool. This way we came back to a peaceful afternoon for a rest without them screaching to go outside.

We had a woods view that looked out over the boat landing on the end. It was great - could see the geyser and the water parade.

I had a courtyard view the last time I stayed at the WL, but I would recommend a woods view instead. We could sometimes here a good bit of noise from the pool area in the courtyard, so I think a woods view would be much more peaceful. :)

I have never had a woods view..always Courtyard and absolutely LOVED IT...I DO NOT WANT A WOODS VIEW...but let me explain...I live in Southern Alabama, so all I see every single day is a bunch of pine trees and woods, so that is why I will not stay in a woods view room...LOL

But, it does matter if views are important to you. Views are very important to us. We dont wanna look out and see a bunch of cars in a parking lot---reminds me of my workplace. I dont wanna see a bunch of woods---see them everyday. I wanna see water, pools, beautiful flowers, etc---after all Im on vacation!!

The courtyard view is SO nice early in the mornings when no one is in the pool and you can see Bay Lake and the morning steam rising from the geyser...it is peaceful and serene. But it is all a matter of opinion.

If you arent going to be in the room alot, then there is a factor. But if you wanna look out and see something, there is a factor.
All about preference.

I have read here that there are some good woods view rooms that have nice views...I just havent stayed in them.

Hope this helps and sorry for rambling!
:o

One plus for a Woods View room is the possibility of seeing the MK and the fireworks from your balcony.

If you are on the 5th floor (or above) in the North wing of the WL you can catch glimpses of the CR, the Monorail, the MK and many of the fireworks either through/above the scraggly pine trees.

We were in room 5012 - bunkbed, Woods view, non-smoking - and could clearly see everything (but that was several years ago -I imagine the tree situation has changed some).
