For just about the same amount of money we can stay at the Poly garden view or YC standard view without a rental car or WL woods view with a rental car.

We are going in Feb 2006. It will be DH, DS 6 and DD 4. We spend most of our time at MK and MGM. We are also planning on spending the last 2 days at AKL and will do AK from there.

We stayed at the WL April 05 with a car, but my DH liked not having to drive so we took the buses most days. Some days we had rather long waits for the bus in the morning. I didn't mind waiting in the afternoon, but in the morning I was anxious to get to the parks.

What would you all recommend?? :confused3

We have always had our car (because we drive down) but we rarely use it once on property. The few times we have used it was to go to other resorts (from our resort) for meals-- otherwise we took Disney transportation. I would take which ever resort you would rather have w/o the car-- unless you are driving down ;)

I just recently stayed at WL. The bus service was great. The wait wasn't very long. You can stay at WL and not rent a car and save even more!

If you are going to spend most of your time at MK then Poly, the monorail is fast and convenient. I liked that much better than the ferry boat at WL. I also happened to like the Poly overall compared to WL. My one complaint was sharing a bus with GF but that still isn't enough to prevent me from saving to go back to Poly!!! I really liked the Poly for small children because we spend most of our time in the Magic Kingdom and hopping on the monorail with the stroller open was very convenient!

I do say that you stay at the Polynesian and not rent a car and just like take the monorail to all the places and the boat and the buses. That's the one good thing about Walt Disney World................ YOU DON'T HAVE TO RENT A CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
