WL Transportation questions

I am staying at WL in November and have a few transportation questions. I searched but didn't find these specific answers.

1. What is the best way to get from WL to Poly (O'hana dinner) and back?

2. How long do I need to plan to get from WL to FW for HDDR. Is boat the best way?

3. If I want to make it to MK rope drop (9am opening) what time do I need to plan on leaving hotel? Should I take boat or bus?

4. Breakfast at CM at 8:10, MK opens at 9am. Can I take a boat? What time do I need to be on dock?

5. I know in general I should plan an hour between the hotel and a park and park to hotel, but it has to be less to MK and more to AK. Can anyone give me a ballpark estimate between WL and each park? I want to plan breaks, but when I add in 2 hrs for transportation, the break can get pretty short at least on paper.

1. A few options:
A) Boat from WL to Contemporary (CR); Monorail from CR to Poly
B) Boat from WL to MK; Boat from MK to Poly
C) Boat from WL to MK; Monorail to Poly

I would go probably go wtih A or B. The WL to CR boat takes around 15-20 minutes depending on if it stops at FW first before going to CR. The WL to MK boat takes about 15 minutes.

2. From WL to HDDR, you have three options.
A) Bus from WL to FW, which drops off near HDDR
B) Boat from WL to FW, which drops off near HDDR
C) Walk the trail from WL to FW, which connects near HDDR

In this case, I think the bus or boat would be a wash on which is fastest based mostly on wait time for those, but I would probably take the boat. I would only do the walk if it was during daylight hours.

3. Not sure on the time from WL to MK by bus versus boat. Either way, I would plan to be at the stop at 8 AM. That way you have wait time in case the bus or boat is not there when you arrive, plus time to get through security check before the park opens.

4. Chef Mickey is at CR. You can take the boat from WL to CR that morning. I belive that boat starts aroud 6:45 am. I would try and be at the dock an hour before your reservation. Most restaurants want you to check in about 15 minutes before your reservation. Plus once you get to CR, you need time to walk to the building and get to the restaurant.

5. Someone else will have to help you here with times, I am not certain. The main reason that travel times are estimated at an hour is due to needing to wait for your mode of transporation. If you just miss the previous bus or boat, it could be at 20 minutes before the next one. Also, even if the direct route should only take 10 minutes, if there are any stops at other resorts, it will add time.
