We have 8 am ressies. :flower: ::MickeyMo I have my own car but am worried about being let in the pkg lot and to the entrance. I don't mind Wdw transpo, but will buses run early enough for an 8 a.m. ressie??

Thanks for all insight! :flower:

I'm sure Tyler (Chip N Dale.........the transportation expert over here who is a Disney bus driver) will agree with me...............YES, there will be buses early enough to get you to the AK for your 8am ps. I would be at your resort bus stop no later than 7:15am, although personally I would be there at 7am. This will allow enough time if you just missed a bus. Contrary to what most Cast Members will tell you, there are early buses specifically for the various breakfasts and tours going on every day througout WDW. Please do not drive your car for your early breakfast as you probably will not be able to get though the gate until 8am which means you will be late for your ps. For some reason the AK gate rarely allows cars though early. Only Disney buses are allowed in before 8am.

I was wondering about going here for Breakfast myself. I am staying at the Poly which is really far away from AK. Since we need to allot 45 min. to an 1 hour for transport, this really won't work well for us. We will probably choose something closer.

Hi,

We did this on Tuesday. We were 15 minutes late for our 8 am PS. They did not care. The dinner at Epcot was a much better deal. We went to the Garden Grill Café. The food, service and character interaction was 100% better. We had a better dinner at the Garden than at the Flying Fish. At AK I felt as if I was on a number and not a person. They move you through the system fast. We felt very rushed as the next group was waiting for our table.

For some reason the bus service was terrible. We waited on the average an hour for AK and downtown Disney. It is all about timing. If the bus is there you win. If you miss it you may wait an hour.

AK is not really far from the Polynesian. This is the breakdown of the 45 minutes:

15 minutes potential wait time, in case you just missed the bus.
15 minutes actual drive time.
15 minutes walk time.

Chip'n Dale Express- What's your take on WL to DB? Will there be early bus?

How long is ride?

TIA,

Racheal

Yes, there will be an early bus. Just be out at the bus stop 45 minutes prior to seating time. See the above post for the timing breakdown.

Tyler,

Is AK the only park that doesn't let private cars in early or are all of them doing it now? We drive our own car, but have an early PS on most mornings. We plan to come back to the hotel every day for a break and think that using our car would be the easiest way, but now I am concerned that we won't make our breakfasts on time.

Do I need to plan on using the bus every morning or just the morning we are going to AK?

I don't know about the toll plazas. I do know that for the Magic Kingdom and Studios, the toll plazas must remain open for CMs to get through. Not sure about Epcot, or why AK holds the cars back.
