WL to DD???

We have never ventured to Downtown Disney from WL.

I was wondering about how long the trip is in the middle of the day.

I think that you can now travel direct to DD like you would to a park instead of the old WL to TTC and then to DD. Am I right about this?

Has any anyone ever taken a cab back to WL from DD? How much was the charge?

I think, in the middle of the day, you have to go to the transportation and ticket center and then out to DD - if that's changed, somebody help me out here so I'm not giving bad info. At least it's how it was last time I was at the Poly and they share the bus with WL.

We stayed at the WL this June and there is direct bus service to DD all day. It's probably a 20+ minute bus ride, but I didn't mind. I kicked back and relaxed on the way.

I have no idea what a cab would cost but with free direct service by bus I sure wouldn't pay for one!

and it was, truthfully, the longest bus ride we had, because it had stopped at WL first, then came to us at FW, then we stopped at one of the waterparks (BB, I think), then made the stop at DD. It took a good half hour, at least. We got lazy on the way back with our arms full of goodies, and took a taxi (Mears van, actually), which cost $15+tip, well worth it for tired us! To add to the confusion, one bus driver made all three stops at DD, but the second time we went, the bus driver only made one, and said, "Everybody out, this is the only DD stop!" (and it was a LONG way from the end of DD that we needed to be at!).
