WL standard view questions

Okay, I just faxed my request for AKL, Zebra trail, Arusha savannah but now what for WL standard view?? Any suggestions on a request? We stayed in the villas last time and I'd like to be in the interior part of the lodge this time. Please help!! Thanks!!

My suggestion is to NOT ask for a location. You may get upgraded to a different view. I've been upgraded to woods and to courtyard after paying for a standard at WL. Just ask for the room type (ie bunkbeds, non-smoking). -HM

I had a standard view at the WL this past August. I simply requested Lobby room, bunkbeds and non-smoking. (We did get all 3 requests.) The view from the balcony was of rooftops and we had a closed bottom balcony, which didn't matter to us because I can honestly say that we only looked out the balcony doors 3 times at most (in 6 days) and went onto the balcony once. We were so busy with everything else.

Forgot - if you can stand paging through the Wilderness Lodge FAQ (painfully long thread) there are some posts in there about locations of the standard view rooms, and how many have an interior lobby view, etc.)

We arrive at the WL tomorrow January 19th!

I just faxed in my requests of a non smoking room (which is very important to us) and the bunk-beds which I requested at the time of booking, but I know is not guaranteed.

We are celebrating my first born's 13th birthday while we are there. I'm hoping for a complimentary upgrade to a better view if there's one available at the time we check in, which probably won't be until after 6PM.

If there isn't....at least we'll still be at WDW and the Wilderness Lodge!
