WL Sleigh Ride question...

I read that the WL sleigh ride fits 4 adults or 5 people with children. Does anyone know if they can possibly fit 5 adults? Do they cut off the number of riders to maximum of 4 adults?

Also, how hard is it going to be to get this reservation (I only have one day open unfortunately, Dec. 22).

Thanks in advance! :santa:

But I can show you the sleigh, so you can see the size for yourself.:thumbsup2

Thanks for the picture! I think I'm going to try for 2 separate reservations so I know we will all be able to go (don't really want to take the chance of not fitting), but I don't know how difficult thats gonna be!

We took the sleigh ride on Dec. 23, 2007.

I had no trouble getting our reservation when I called first thing in the morning on the 1st day I could (it may have been 90 days out...I'm not sure). I even had my choice of times. I picked 7:00ish because I had an ADR at WCC for around 5pm & we wanted to take the sleigh ride after.

But just wanted to give you something to consider. I have read where many people have said that the sleigh ride from the Wilderness Lodge was just along the back road between the WL and Fort Wilderness and is not lit so you can't see much. The Sleigh ride at Fort Wilderness leaves from in front of the Trails End restraunt and goes back through the campground. A LOT of the campgrounds are REALLY decorated for Christmas and if you haven't visited there during the Christmas Holidays, I would highly recommend visiting even if you don't choose that sleigh ride:cool1:

Are there set times for the sleigh rides. I would like to try one on Dec 25th after dinner but not sure what actual times they go out. I am going to try the one at the campground.

I tried at 180 days and they told me I had to call back at 90 days out

The campgrounds start at 6:00 and go every 30 minutes after that...WL starts at 5:30 and every 30 minutes after that....

?? I am just wondering if the carriage at FW is decorated like the one at WL at the holidays...Anyone know??

Questions about the FW sleigh ride......
How far in advance can you call for a reservation?

Is there anything included with this, such as a bottle of wine, hot cocca, along those lines?

I was just wanted to surprise my husband with something romantic and I thought this would be cool.

Thanks for the help

Thank you. I guess I took to long to post my questions because they have all been answered before I finishing posting.:goodvibes

I guess the coffee hasn't kicked in yet or I just too excited that I found out that the sleigh rides go through the campgrounds!!!

I think this would be an awesome way to see it and romantic as well.

Thanks for posting the above info. I couldn't find anything in the link about the Fort Wilderness sleigh ride :confused3
Is this offered on the same dates as the Wilderness Lodge one?
Is it the same price?
Also is somebody able to confirm whether there is hot chocolate available to purchase before the ride
If anybody has done both Fort and Lodge rides - which is best
Sorry for all the questions
Thanks for your help guys

Scroll down to the section in Blue titled Disney World Carriage Rides...

These rides are offered year round, not just at the holidays like the WL...We have not done the one at FW before...We are thinking of doing it for the first time this year...I am guessing there is hot chocolate to purchase at the Settlement Trading Post.

can anyone confirm the the ride at FW is also decorated at x-mas like the one at WL:confused3

I asked my DW because I can not remember and she said she doesn't remember it being decorated. We saw it at early night hours while waiting to go into the Hoop De Doo Dinner Show. Sorry, I didn't take a picture of that one because it was dark and the carriage was on the other side of the circle from us in front of Trails End. We did walk around some of the campground however and to us it would be the more enjoyable carriage ride, regardless of whether or not the carriage is decorated. IMHO:thumbsup2

Let me look at my photo album. We did the one that starts at WL but met one coming from FW on the path and I took a picture.

I looked at my pictures I took while we were on our sleigh ride of the other sleigh we met from FW and it did have the greenery on it.
