We're taking our DD (she'll be 14 months) for her first trip to the World in November (Nov 8-12). :cheer2:

I'm trying to decide where to stay - what would you do? We love WL, but weren't sure if Poly (and the monorail) would be better with a baby?

Poly: lagoon view, can use the monorail to get back and forth to MK/Epcot- no rooms currently available at all - so no free dining, and chance of resort only discount seems slim.

WL: we can get our prefered woods view with free dining by doing a room only for 11/8 and booking a package for 11/9-11/12. But we'll have to do the boat and/or bus to get to MK and Epcot. Rooms have also been refurbed too.

We have a room at Poly booked, but once I started doing a cost comparison with WL and free dining, it made me think twice. :confused3

hmmm

I'd probably stay with the Poly and hope a room discount comes out before the FD offer expires so you could still book that if you wanted. You could just book free dining to be guarantted a room and offer then if a good room discount comes out just switch to the Poly later. I think the Poly would be best with an infant and the monorail but the WL would be a good choice if Poly isn't available. A room discount will be a bigger savings than free dining if it's just 2 of y'all + infant

We love WL too, but I can see the draw of having the monorail right there. If the WL would already be decorated for christmas it would be really beautiful. The poly rooms have more space though, and that might be useful.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE WL BUT with a baby (and presumably a stroller?), I'd much prefer to be on the monorail where I can roll the stroller right on versus having to fold it EVERY TIME for a boat or a bus. Granted, monorail only works for EPCOT and MK from the Poly, but that's better than every time you leave your resort!

Just my two cents though! We did WL and Pop each with a stroller and while do-able, not the easiest thing to do! At the end of the day, you've crammed stuff into your stroller basket or hung things off the handles and suddenly you're throwing out your child, gathering things, one person is folding and carrying a stroller, the other is carrying a child and/or bags...

Thanks! I think I'm going to book WL for now - and just keep an eye on other deals that might come along. Saving $1500 is hard to pass up! Plus, we just LOVE WL.

Of course though, last night there were Woods View rooms, and now only Woods View with bunk bed - oops!

I've stayed at both resorts and love both. While I agree that it would be more convenient going to Epcot from the Poly than from the WL, having the boat to the MK is really nice too and the cost savings would be the clencher for me. I think you're making the right choice going with the WL.
