We have booked a Courtyard View. Which wing do you think is the best for this view? I know that the North wing is closer to the boat and Roaring Forks, and the South is closer to the bus stop, but which side has the best "view?"

Let me hear from all you WL fans. Which side do you prefer?

As long as you are not in a standard room,(which overlooks the service area), I am partial to the north wing. You can see the MK fireworks in that wing. Just go to the corner window in the halls if you are on an upper floor.

Hi!
I've been in a courtyard view room on both the north and south side. Both views were very nice. The 2 times I was able to see the fireworks from the north wing, it was from a woods view room (side of building facing MK and CR). If you are going to make a room request, I wouldn't worry about north/south wing. I'd request a view of the main courtyard/pool, or bay lake, because Courtyard View also includes a view of the Villas courtyard/pool, and let's face it... that would be disappointing. Another way of looking at it would be how far down the wing you want to be... closer to the lobby, or farther out by bay lake.

We stayed in the North Wing, with a fantastic view of Cinderella Castle. I wouldn't trade that view for anything!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies!!:) Maybe I should clarify my question. I'm more interested in the best view of the "courtyard" (pool, lake, stream, people, whatever.) While I'm sure it's lovely, I'm not interested in a view of the castle or fireworks. I like to sit out on the balcony first thing in the morning and last thing at night and take in all the activity. I did make a request for "Inner Courtyard" I just didn't know if one side was better than the other. And what about the "Bear Face" rooms? How's the view from there?

Thanks again! Keep the replies coming!!

Last time I had the south wing about 2/3 down and our view was wonderful. I think the north wingers across from me had the same view. I'm sure the bear face rooms have a great view, otherwise being closer to the lobby provides less to look at. I'm another one who doesn't care about seeing the fireworks because I'm never in the room at that time. I'm at one of the parks. :joker:

Last Dec, we had a fifth floor inner courtyard room on the South wing. We had a great view of pools, geyser, Bay Lake and was able to see the Water Pageant from our balcony. We're going back this December, but I'm going to request a North Wing room this time. As much as we loved our room, we were very far from the elevator and when coming back at 11 at night, the walk back was a little too much for the kids. Also, I'd like to be closer to Roaring Forks, to get coffee in the morning.

We had a south wing inner courtyard room. Last Jan. and it was a very nice view. Prob. The best view yet. I think the same room in the opposite side, north wing would prob have the same view.
We've also had north wing just past inner courtyard, which would have been a good view except we had the solid balcony of the top floor
Also had a courtyard view if villas pool once too. It was nice, and peaceful.

I do like the north wing to be on the same side as Roaring Forks, but not a huge deal. I also enjoy walking thru the beautiful lobby :goodvibes

We've has rooms in both wings and prefer the North wing so we can watch the sun rise over Bay Lake from our balcony. We prefer to be by the waterfall so we request "inner courtyard, north wing with a view of Silver Springs please.". It is very quiet here except for the sound of the waterfall. Very nice to wake up to!

The bear face rooms rooms are nice because not only do you have of a view of the waterfall, pool and Bay Lake, but your door opens to the majestic lobby. Keep in mind, there are only a few bear face rooms so don't get your hopes up but you certainly put that in the top of your request list....you never know.

:)

Mousemommy: do you know which room number you had and if the rooms close to it had the same view?
