Has anyone ever received an AAA, AP, or general public code discount for WL honeymoon room? I am trying to decide if the extra $$ are worth it for an oversized tub & king bed. I am having a hard time justifying it but my DH-to-be is excited about the room. I am trying to convince him a regular room with AP discount would save us lots of $$$ and we would have a nice room. Can someone who stayed in one of these rooms tell me if it is really worth it. Thanks in advance.

I stayed in one of the rooms on the North side of the building for our honeymoon 10 years ago. Is it worth it? Yes. I would do it again. We stayed in a regular Courtyard view room last Christmas, it was great...but for my honeymoon, I'm glad we had something a bit more unique and special. The big jacuzzi tub was really nice-there was also a small window in the tub/shower area that you could see the MK fireworks though perfectly while soaking in the jacuzzi tub drinking champage!;) (can't do that in a Courtyard view room!) Many people will say that you should get a villa w/a jacuzzi tub and a lot more space...that is true, but IMHO, the jacuzzi tub/shower in the honeymoon rooms are a bit more luxurious than that of the villas. The honeymoon rooms are long 2 person sized with marble surround with a cool waterfall type faucet-10 years ago that was pretty cool. In the villas they are oval garden jacuzzi tubs. We could see MK a bit and fireworks from our very private balcony.

The king bed was really nice...I believe, and I could be wrong, to get a King bed room at WL it is on a request only basis(cannot be guaranteed) and they are handicapped accessible rooms? I could be wrong. If you booked a honeymoon room, you know you are getting a king bed room. There were nice high cathedral celings too in the honeymoon room, which was nice and made the room more spacious.

Of course, when we were there 10 years ago, there wasn't a Conciege Level at WL...so it was pretty quiet and secluded up there...I'm not sure if that has changed?

I remember it was about $240 or $250 a night to stay there from 6/28-7/5 in 1997 and I thought we were a bit crazy to be spending so much money for a "special" room! :rotfl: I think it was like $50 or $60 more a night than a courtyard view price.

If you don't care about the jacuzzi tub or the king bed...then, just get regular room and save $$$. If I had to do it again, I would get the honeymoon room, or a 1 bedroom villa. I think a honeymoon should be a little bit of a splurge and something that you won't be likely to do again (unless you hit it big playing the lottery!:lmao: )

Thanks IMDORY. I appreciate your response.

I just wanted to chime in and say that for your HM, the WL HM suite is WORTH it! There is also fantastic concierge level service that come with the stay there. I stayed in Dec 2005 for our "belated HM" when GF botched us up for our actual HM and we had the BEST experience at the WL. Everyone was very nice to us and the jacuzzi tube was huge, which was nice because we were there in Dec and it was chilly. Let me know if you have any questions about the HM suite there.
