Yay!!! Thanks for joining in! I'm uploading pics now for a new update:banana:

Found your tr awhile back and finally got all caught up. My family and I live in Denham Springs. I have a dd-5 whose bday is 3-18 and ds-3 whose bday is 9-5. Funny how our kids are so close in age!

Your trip so far has been filled with so many memories. That is always my goal, to do something the kids won't forget. All about the fun and new experiences. Your kids sure are cuties! Looking forward to the next installment. Oh, glad the beach vacay was worth it. So sad what the oil is doing to the beaches, and of course to our land and families here in Louisiana.

I bleed purple and gold.:cheer2: Dd knew the fight song at 2! Trying to raise good little tigers:rotfl:

That is crazy that our kids are so close! Small world!

We did make tons of memories on this trip. So many that I will cherish forever. The beach in Destin was pretty clean. There were tar balls but mostly seaweed. But we still had a ball!

That's so funny about the fight song. I had Aubrey in Babies R Us one day when she was about 2 and she kept yelling "fight fight fight!" I was mortified and peopel were looking at this sweet little girl yelling about fighting! When I asked her what that was about, she said "You know, mommy. LSU, fight fight fight! LOL I was so proud:laughing:

Well hellooooooooooooooooooooo everyone! I am back and ready to finish up this TR. I have been so distracted this summer with end of the year stuff and then our beach vacation. I think I may share some of those pics for y'all to see. We had a great time. But now I am back home and ready to get back into the Disney mode. I've already started working on my trip for December which means I need to get my PTR going asap! Butttttt, first I must complete this TR! So here goes with a new update.

When I last left y'all, I had just discovered the tragedy of the pillow cases. I know I didn't get a good shot of them before the rain, but I took a few pics of them tonight so you can see what happened. Brace yourselves. What you are about to see may be difficult to watch...

Ok, so I think I am finally over it now and I do plan on redoing them in December so poo on you rain and permanent markers. I will be using fabric pens this time:mad:

Alright, so we woke up and the plan for the day was to head to Epcot for Futureworld and then to AK for Festival of the Lion King. We would then head back to Epcot for Illuminations. Here's a pic of Daddy and Aubrey before we left the room. She's rocking the pink hair that has now literally turned into rocker hair. Her outfit for the day was appropriate too. She looked like a little Cindy Lauper.

DSC_0004.jpg

We made our way down to the bus stop and the kids had more fun hiding in the bushes. I'm telling you, this was a great time passer for them. They loved it!

DSC_0009-1.jpg

Now, mind you, this is day 6 of our vacation and we were all a little on edge. Jason decided to take matters into his own hands and have a beverage that would help him feel better. Hint: it's not grape juice in that bottle:rolleyes1

Copy2ofDSC_0001.jpg

I have to admit that I had a few sips of his juice too that morning. It was a great bus ride ;)

Here's a short video of the kids on the bus. Don't second Aubrey's knowledge of the parks. If looks could kill!!!

So, we made it to Epcot and headed straight over to Test Track. Since the kids had ridden soarin, we figured we could get them onto Test Track. Why not? They were tall engough! So we did it and it was hilarious. Brendan LOVED it. Aubrey, not so much. Here are a few pics of the kids "driving" some of the cars. They thought they were hot stuff!

CopyofDSC_0008.jpg

CopyofDSC_0003.jpg

And here they are after the ride. You can tell they were a bit ticked for making them ride. Oh well, they'll be better people for it:rolleyes1

CopyofDSC_0010.jpg

We then headed over to Spaceship Earth. I LOVE this ride. It's just a classic and a great time to sit back and relax. I also love the new ending. The first time I did it, I really almost wet my pants I was laughing so hard. They expressions on me and Aubrey's faces that they got for the pictures were awesome. Wish I had those videos. Good thing I have the ones from this trip! Here is Aubrey sitting outside SE waiting for Bobo and Daddy to come back from a bathroom break. The kids wanted a snack so I ran into one of the gift shops and bought some of these little cheese mickey heads. Can I tell you, these things were DESLISH! Here is Aubrey munching on a few...

DSC_0019-2.jpg

Jason sat with Brendan and I sat with Aubrey. Our future worlds came out almost exactly the same. Here are both of them. They still make me laugh!!!

Let's see, so after we did SE, we headed over to Innoventions. I just love these places. There's always os much cool stuff for the kids to do. Here they are checking out the bed that was set up in some little house. Now I can't remember the details but it was cute...

DSC_0027-2.jpg

DSC_0026-2.jpg

And here's Bobo with the fire truck. Oh, how he loved this!!!

DSC_0028-2.jpg

And then we went over and did this little save your money exercise. It was really over the kids heads but was really neat! I think one of the had a melt down in the middle of it so we kindof sped through but still neat...

DSC_0030-1.jpg

After we left Innoventions, we ran into these guys. I didn't catch their name but they said they were part of the Flower and Garden Fest. Pretty cool!

DSC_0033.jpg

Sorry for that abrupt stop. I had to go back and fix a video link. It wasn't working. Anywho...

We had now done everything we wanted to do in Futureworld so we headed to the exit to go to AK. On our way out, we saw these funky glasses and just had to try them on. Here's Aubrey modeling a pair...

DSC_0040-1.jpg

The CM that was working the stand was so nice. She told us that we should all put on a pair and she would take our picture. Here it is...

DSC_0041-1.jpg

She even gave us a "Magical Moment" certificate after she took the picture. It was really sweet. So when I got back on the bus, I wanted to see how the pic came out and it was precious! The only problem was Aubrey was hiding her face. So when I got back home, I decided to reach out to the creative and talented people on the DIS and see if someone could photoshop her face for me since I have no idea how to do that stuff. It is amazing how generous the people on here can be. Here is one that has been touched up. I promise that you probably would have never noticed if I hadn't shown you the original first...

Photoshop.jpg

The reason I am so excited about this pic is because it's going to be our Christmas card and it will read "Hope your Christmas is totally tubular!" Cute, eh!

Ok, well I am so tired right now but I get to sleep in tomorrow thanks to my wonderful husband getting up with the kids. I will post more soon. I've missed everyone so much. Thanks for being such loyal readers and for being so patient with me!!!

Great updates! Your family is totally adorable :) :) I am loving passing the time until our trip (2 more weeks!!) by reading about your family's trip :goodvibes

The musical group you saw is called The Jammitors! They are actually there all year round, but during the F&G Festival they add gardening tools to their routine and attach them to their drums :rotfl: They are great and we LOVE them too!

We also love Spaceship Earth and my kooky DH enjoys changing the language on it every time we go :rotfl2: We crack up every time because it's like blah, blah, blah in some language we don't understand and then it says PAPYRUS. :rotfl2: I guess that word translates to any language :rotfl2:

Great morning in Future World! Sorry Test Track wasn't a big hit with both kids. Hopefully it will be better in December. This was Danielle first big girl ride and she loved.

I love love love your TR!! Your family is just precious! and I love your attention to detail and your cute stories!!!

I cracked up laughing when brendan hightailed it out of epcot with your stroller and you caught it in the picture! tooo funny!!

We will also be in WDW 12/2-12/10!!!!

Which DVC is your home resort?

Great update I was wondering when you were coming back. I never did finish my last trip report. When I went back to finish it they had locked it. Oh well

I am going to start sewing for our Mardi Gras trip for Grace. I want to make her some princess sun dresses. I hope you send me a link for your new pre trip report when you start it. I get lost. I hope that Grace rides test track in March she should be tall enough. My niece went with her three and half year old in Jan. and she wasn't tall enough. Grace is 37 1/2 inches tall now so I am hoping she grows. Ya'll are so cute.

HI!!!! So glad you are back :lovestruc Great updates---we have never been in Innoventions before! Looks like a lot of fun! Also, I love your Christmas card picture---how creative!!

Hi! Glad you like the report. I know that anything I can do to help the time pass before a Disney trip is much appreciated!

I thought that's what the group was called but for the F&G Festival I think they were going by a different name:confused3 Either way, they were very entertaining!

Ok, and that's hilarious about SE. I am so trying that with the language thing and listening for papyrus:rotfl2:

Great morning in Future World! Sorry Test Track wasn't a big hit with both kids. Hopefully it will be better in December. This was Danielle first big girl ride and she loved.

Well, Brendan loved it but Aubrey was terrified. This does not mean, however, that she will be excused from riding it in Dec. Oh no. Try, try again. That's the motto :)

I'm glad you like the stories. Sometimes I feel like I go on and on but I just hope there's someone out there that will appreciate them:)

The Brendan running away with the stroller thing was hilarious enough itself, but then to be caught in one of our pics?!? Just priceless:rotfl:

Awesome about your dates! I actually added a date to ours so it's now 12/1 - 12/7. We're staying at AKV which is our home resort. What about you??

Great update I was wondering when you were coming back. I never did finish my last trip report. When I went back to finish it they had locked it. Oh well

I didnt know they locked your threads if you don't go on them for a while. Oh well. I have a TR out there from our last May trip that I never finished:rolleyes1 I will def send you a link for my PTR!!

I think I am going to be there at Mardi Gras too. Just me and the kids. I have two sisters going at that time and I'm thinking about going to meet them. It's not for sure but if I do, we are so going to meet up!!!!!!!

HI!!!! So glad you are back :lovestruc Great updates---we have never been in Innoventions before! Looks like a lot of fun! Also, I love your Christmas card picture---how creative!!

My DH and I always go back and forth about innoventions. He thinks it's boring but every time we go, we end up staying forever! The kids love it and there's always something fun to do. You should check it out. Thank you about the Christmas Card. I just knew that's what I wanted to do as soon as I saw the pic. And thanks to the generous and talented DISigners, I think it's going to be perfect!!!

Heyyy my home resort is Saratoga Springs!

We are on the wait list for BLT and BWV.. I had AKL as one of our wait lists and then changed it and now Im going to call and drop BWV and add AKL!

Do you love AKL?

We left Epcot and headed over to AK just for a quick visit. We wanted to see FOTLK. It's a must see for us on each trip! We got there and the crowds weren't too bad. The stadium was full, though. Jason and Brendan were sitting behind an older man who seemed to be there by himself. Brendan was sitting in Jason's lap and you know how kids are with their feet. As many times as you tell them to watch it or be careful, they inadvertantly end up kicking the person in front of them. Well, Brendan did this a few times to the man in front of them. The man then turned around and yelled at Jason "Your kid is kicking me and it hurts!" Jason, who is rarely at a loss for words, was in shock. He didn't know what to say except sorry. I was fuming:mad: I mean really, you come to this packed show full of kids, alone and don't expect to get a few bumps in the back from people sitting behind you? GET OVER YOURSELF!!! Thankfully Brendan had no clue what was going on or he would have been so embarassed. Jason managed to keep his legs pinned down for the rest of the show. I should mention that the guy did end up apologizing to Jason after the show was over, but still. GET OVER YOURSELF! Can I get an amen?!?

Here is the obligatory shot from the end of FOTLK. I have 43,000 pictures from this show already but of course I took more. It's like the safari, there's no way I can sit through the whole thing and not take pictures!

DSC_0057.jpg

Honestly, I'm really not sure but I think that's pretty much all we did at AK. I'm sure we walked around, got something to eat, saw some cool stuff. Aparantly not cool enough to take pictures of. See, this is what happens when you take so long to write your TR. You forget the details!!! Anyway, I do have this pic. We ran into these guys on our way out of the park.

DSC_0045.jpg

So it was now time to head back to Epcot for The World Showcase and Illuminations. We stopped in The Land pavillion to grab some lunch at Sunshine Station. I had heard that there was good fresh and healthy food here and by this time in the trip, I was craving something semi healthy. There's only so many hamburgers and buffet meals you can handle before your body starts revolting. I ordered a yummy Turkey sandwich and the kids got mac n cheese and a salad. Jason got a seared tuna salad which was disgusting:scared: I mean, I know I heard the food was good but...seared tuna??? Not a good choice. He was actually able to trade it in for a sandwich. Those Disney folks. Such nice people. Anywho, about this time, Brendan was getting restless and the only thing keeping him still was the video camera. I figured what could it hurt. So I let him play with it until we were finished eating. Well, here is the last video that my poor little camera ever shot. Notice, it is in Brendan's hands...

Though it would not be until later in the trip that I realized it was broken, this was the moment of the camera's demise. It has since been replaced and the money is coming out of Brendan's college fund.

Ok, so after we ate, we aparantly took these pictures. I have no idea where they were but they're cute so I thought I would share...

DSC_0058-1.jpg

We were now headed over to Norway to ride Maelstrom. I just love that ride. It never gets old. I think it's seeing everyone's reactions when they think they're really going to go over that cliff. Gets me every time:laughing: On the way to Norway, we kept telling Brendan about the big viking ship. He was really into ships at the time and was so excited to see it! Well, well, well, when we got there, this is what we found...

CopyofDSC_0011.jpg

There was no longer a viking ship. Just a viking pile of rubble. This was hard to explain to the 3 year old, but we managed to distract him with Maelstrom. He loved it and so did Aubrey and so did the 10 other people on the boat who thought we were going overboard. LOL:rotfl: LOVE it!!

After the ride, we of course walked right through the movie and headed to the exit:rolleyes1 I mean, do you blame me? My kids would no more sit through that thing than fly to the moon. So we went into the gift shop and took the obligatory Troll picture, of which I have about 4,000. Again, this never gets old.

CopyofDSC_0015.jpg

And the obligatory viking hat pictures. Of course, Brendan was being difficult and wouldn't wear one. Payback for the viking ship letdown I suppose. I wonder though, do people actually every buy those hats? And I wonder how many heads have been in those things:eek: Oh well, here we are...

CopyofDSC_0019.jpg

Well, it was starting to get dark and closer to 9:00 so we wanted to make our way over to Canada to watch Illuminations. But first, we had to stop and let the kids bang on the drums in Africa...

CopyofDSC_0023.jpg

From there we made it to our destination and found a spot. We killed some time taking silly pics...

CopyofDSC_0040.jpg

And then it was time for the show to start. Ok, I have to tell you all that I LOVE this show. It is my favorite. It has much sentimental meaning to me. Jason and I took our first trip to Disney about a year after my father unexpectedly passed away. When we saw Illuminations, it just reminded me so much of my dad. I didn't really know why and still don't to this day. Maybe it's because I knew he was up there beyond the fireworks looking down at me having a magical time with my wonderful husband. I cried my eyes out and still do every time I see it or hear the music. It's just very close to my heart and being able to share it with my kids is very special to me. This would be the second time the kids saw the show. The first time, Aubrey had just turned 3 and Brendan was 18 months and I knew he probably wouldn't get too much out of it so I decided to sit with Aubrey and watch her reaction. It couldn't have been better. Here is a pic from that trip of her seeing the fireworks. She looks terrified, but she was actually excited beyond belief! Still brings tears to my eyes...

illuminations.jpg

Illuminations is my favorite! the music the fireworks the whole show.. just makes my heart race!

Your story is very dear and I know that feeling!!

So this time I decided to let Jason take Aubrey up on his shoulders and I would sit back with Brendan. We had already figured out that he does NOT like fireworks so I knew this would be interesting. But I'm sorry, we're not missing this show so he was just going to have to suck it up. Here he is waiting in his stroller, can you see the anticipation and fear in his face...

CopyofDSC_0041.jpg

And then it starts. I couldn't see much because I was sitting on the ground with Brendan, who, by this point was frozen with fear. I was at least able to enjoy the music. My poor baby. He was terrified. Here is how he watched the show. He made me put my hand over his eyes so he could cover his ears. I had to get a pic...

CopyofDSC_0043.jpg

All he kept saying was, I want to go home now... I want to go home now. I am such a horrible parent. We stayed until the end. And I just knew those lasat few booms were going to push him over the edge so I helped hold his ears on those;) He was perfectly fine after it was over. Aubrey loved it, as I knew she would. We gathered our stuff and I tried to get a nice nighttime shot of the ball. It's ok...

CopyofDSC_0032.jpg

We walked through UK to make our way back out. Aubrey decided to stop in the street for a quick game of hop scotch. She LOVES this game!

CopyofDSC_0038.jpg

Then after hopscotching, it was aparantly time for her to stop in the middle of the street and shake her booty! It was hilarious. She did it for a few minutes. I think she was delirious from exhaustion but still provided the crowd with some great entertainment...

CopyofDSC_0039.jpg

It was a long day and we were looking forward to the quiet bus ride home. Aubrey and Brendan both fell straight asleep and we had to put them in bed with no baths. That would have to wait for the morning. But.... it was time to de-Disney Diva Aubrey's hair. The girl was passed out so Jason thought it would be a perfect time to undo her do. OMG, if you could have seen the amount of bobby pins that came out of this child's hair. It was crazy! Here he is hard at work. It looks like he's doing brain surgery..

CopyofDSC_0045.jpg

And let me tell you, that hair was out of control once we got it all out. She looked like a lion!

CopyofDSC_0047.jpg

We were so nervous about how she would react the next morning. When she woke up, of course the first thing she asked was "how's my hiar?" I told her that when she was sleeping, her fairy godmother came in and took her hair down since it had gotten a little messy and she wanted her to have her pretty hair back. Well, let me just tell you that worked like a charm! She to this day tells people that her FGM came into her room at night and took down her hair. She bought it, hook line and sinker! Nothing wrong with a little white lie here and there, right?!

And with that, I do believe that is all for this day. More to come. I am going to look at my photopass pics from this day and see if there are any!

Illuminations is my favorite! the music the fireworks the whole show.. just makes my heart race!

Your story is very dear and I know that feeling!!

It's just beautiful. And the connection that I have to it makes it that much more special:littleangel:

Heyyy my home resort is Saratoga Springs!

We are on the wait list for BLT and BWV.. I had AKL as one of our wait lists and then changed it and now Im going to call and drop BWV and add AKL!

Do you love AKL?

We actually were going to buy in when they were selling at SSR but backed out at the last minute. There were a few other times after that that we wanted to buy but chickened out. Then we found out that they were selling AKV. We were sold right there on the spot and have not looked back since. We LOVE that resort. We make a point to visit it on every trip if we're not staying there. I don't know. I just love the feel there, the music, and Boma... YUM!!! All the animals are amazing and it's just such a comfortable and warm place. People say that it's far out but I never notice that. It seems that you can get anywhere in the world via bus in less than 15 minutes or so so it doesn't bother us. Plus, I kind of like the secluded feeling. It's great and I highly recommend it. If you don't get in there, at least try to go visit. Eat at Boma if you can. It's so good!!! BCV is our second choice. The two are just so different it's hard to pick one over the other but our heart belongs to AKV. We try to stay at BCV when it's warm enough to use that amazing pool! Nothing like SAB!!!!! I want to be buried there:rotfl:

Oh my gosh! I love that you told her that her FGM came in and took down her hair while she was sleeping! What a cute answer and a great way to calmly break the news :goodvibes

Oh, and I was just like Brendan about fireworks when I was little (actually, until I was pretty old :rotfl:) I was just a really sensitive kid and I hated the booming and the way the ground shook, but I loved how pretty it was!

Beautiful pictures! I really love the FOLK group shot and the night shot of the ball at EPCOT. Danielle is 11 and still doesn't like fireworks. She watches Wishes with her hands over her ears. We didn't go downtown for the fireworks either this year. She helped me walk the dogs last night and even the fireworks in the neighborhood bothered her. She just seems very sensitive to the noise.

You think fast. I love your answer for the loss of Aubrey's do. It just makes perfect sense.

Hope your Christmas is tubular :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I didn't know that you could put adult beverages in coke bottles to avoid adult meltdowns....DARN IT :headache: Note to self for next time!

So jealous that you are going again in December!!! I can't wait to go back. Stupid short trips just leave me wanting more and I feel like we didn't even go this year!!!

I laughed so hard at Aubrey's hair looking like a lion. You are too funny. I hope ya'll do go for Mardi Gras so we can meet.:cool1: Maybe we can try to meet before then. Did you see the pictures of the links I sent you on facebook? Let me know. If you don't like the bowling shirt I understand. I don't want you to think you have to tell me you like it. :thumbsup2
