Hi everyone! I am actually doing an update at a normal hour! I am having my coffee, the kids are quiet, so I figured why not! Now, I may be distracted because I'm watching Lady Gaga on The Today Show. That girl is strange. It's like a bad car wreck. I can't turn away!!!
Ok, focus...
So, when I left you last, we were hanging out with the Army men. This was a good time killer and I got some great pics out of it. After we wrapped up with them, it was finally time to use our TSM FP's!!
We got in line and I remember hearing how cute the que was. It was AWESOME!!! The kids loved it and so did we. There was so much to look at! Thankfully, we didn't have too long to wait so we were to our car pretty quickly! Here are a few pics...
And here's Brendan. He has this obsession with putting glasses on upside down. He refuses to wear them right! It's so funny, yet so strange... And look how old he looks in this pic! He looks like a 6 year old and he's barely 3!!
And here is my third child. He was so excited. I love this pic in a goofy, I don't know him sort of way...
So it was now time to load the cars. Aparantly I missed the memo about Aubrey having to ride with Jason on every ride! I didn't do it on purpose, but she ended up with me on this ride. She FREAKED out! And I guess the upside down glasses look rubbed off on her. Here is my precious angel...
She started to snap out of it when we began to realize how INCREDIBLY AMAZING this ride is! Remember, we had never ridden it and I was wondering what all the hype was. Well, it did not disappoint! What a cool and fun ride! I had no idea that it was set up like it is! Too cool! I want to ride it again right now!
Everyone was so excited after that ride. It was great and a perfect ending to our time in the parks! After TSM, we headed to the gates and gave a sad farewell to DHS

I know I was ready to go home and we were exuausted but it's always so hard to say goodbye. It makes it a little easier knowing we'd be back soon. We pretty much never leave WDW without knowing when we'll be back so there's always more magic to look forward to.
We headed back to the hotel. I wanted to do some exploring. I read about the hiking trails around WL and FW. We ended up decided to rent a surrey bike and ride around. We rented a bike on our first family trip in Sept of 08. We were staying at BCV so we rented one of the surreys on the boardwalk. If you all read that TR, you will remember what fun that was. Next time you're on the boardwalk, please make sure to notice the poor people riding around on the surry bikes. It was great riding around the water and taking in the scenery, but then there was... THE HILL! The one right outside of The Dolphin, or Swan. I can't remember. All I remember is almost going into cardiac arrest trying to get all four of us up and over that hill in the bike

It was SO hard! But fun. I was hoping that this ride around the grounds of our resort would be a little more relaxing.
Family Shot...
Oops, forgot a pic. I remember how much the kids got a kick out of the pawprints in the concrete on the sidewalks around the resort. It became a fun game for them to find the prints. It's so funny because they still do it. When we were on our beach vacation a few weeks ago, the sidewalks there also had bird prints, leaf prints... The kids were so excited. They kept saying... "See just like Wilderness Lodge!" Too cute. Great memories. Here they are checking it out...
Ok, back to the bike... We loaded up and got our directions of where to go, where not to go, ect... It was a gorgeous day and there was a nice breeze. It was great.
The path took us over to FW and to the horse stables. We parked the bike and got out to explore a bit. They were doing pony rides but we didn't have any cash with us so we had to avoid that area. I'm still bummed that we had to skip it

But there was lots more to see. I LOVE horses so this was a treat for me as well. Here is Aubrey checking out one of the horses...
On our Sept trip, we did one of the haunted carriage rides here. It was awesome! We were actually on the very first ride that they did. They used to do haunted hay rides but had switched to carriage rides. We were on the very first one! Anyway, I remember them telling us a few fun facts about the horses. These little ponies are used to pull Cinderella's carriage...
And these big guys are used to pull the trollies down Main Street and they are also ridden by the headless horseman who opens up the parade at
MNSSHP! Too cool!
After hanging out for a while, it was time to hit the "road" back to WL. Here is a pic of the path we took. It was just beautiful!
When we got back to the resort, we turned in our bike and headed back towards our room. On the way there, I noticed a crowd forming on the sidewalk. As I got closer, I saw that they were all looking at something in the grass, just off the sidewalk. I looked closer and found this!
Can I tell you, this TOTALLY grossed me out!!!! There were kids petting it and taking pictures! Even Jason touched it. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. I don't know why but I just thought it was disgusting. But the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever!
After our encounter with the road kill, we made our way back up to the room to start packing. Like saying goodbye to WDW, it is also sad to pack up. No matter how ready you are to go home.
When we got back to our room, there was a letter waiting for us. It was from the WL rangers officially inviting us to raise the flags in the morning. I was so excited! We laid low this night and hung out at the hotel. We had an early morning.
Up next, the best part of the trip for me. An amazing experience on the roof of the WL!!!
