WL - Arcade?

I've heard that an arcade room was replaced with a dining room which expands Roaring Forks. Is this true and is there still an arcade at the Wilderness Lodge?

The arcade is past the gift shop and just outside the doors leading to the bus stop. It was moved to this location from the old location near Roaring Forks. It is larger than it used to be also.

For a second there I was worried....my DS's can't LIVE without an arcade, and now with their aunt joining us on this trip, they would really have been disappointed....

hi: it is bigger and a bit better than the old arcade. if they get bored with the arcade or want a little more, the arcade at the contemporary is just a short boat ride across the lake.

Roaring Forks is the place where you get burgers, snacks, etc. They are open from breakfast until late at night and it is also where you refill your refillable mugs.

I am looking forward to seeing the change at the Arcade and Roaring Forks...My DH loves the Arcade room! LOL

I just wanted you to know-Don't get too excited about the arcade at the WL. My DS is an arcade nut and he was very dissappointed in the WL arcade. It is nothing compared to the one at the Contemporary. I would suggest riding the boat over.

...at the Dolphin is nothing to write home about, either. I just wanted to be sure that they have an arcade so it can entertain my 3 DS's while we are waiting for ressies at Whispering Canyon, waiting in the AM for everyone to get ready to go to a park, a break from the pool, etc.....

We as a family love arcades, we don't do the arcade at WL. It stinks! I vote for taking your boys across the lake to the contemp. nothing at disney compares!

The arcade at the Polynesian is pretty pathetic! How does the WL's compare to that one? I love the Poly, but the arcade leaves a lot to be desired!

The boat ride is 5-10 minutes from the WL if that much.
We think the arcade stinks because it is small and has a limited amout of games and most are 50cents to a dollar instead of the usual 25cents.
They also do not offer any games where you can win 'points' to get cheesey prizes with. Even the Allstar movies has a better game room!

...the arcade room at the Dolphin. I think there were MAYBE 4 different machine and 2 pool tables, and THAT WAS IT!!!! On the other hand, the arcade at CSR was AWESOME!!! Lots to choose from, large area, brightly lit, clean....maybe because this is a convention center....

The WL arcade is pretty sad. It is certainly better than it once was, but it still has a ways to go! It is small and the selection of games isn't that great. The arcades at All Star Music, POR and Animal Kingdom are much better. The Animal Kingdom arcade is huge! I haven't seen the Contemporary arcade - I will make a point to visit it this summer. Even though DS is 19 and DD is 17, they still love those arcade games
