Aloha Jeff: Great pictures, as usual. What an inspiration you and your princess(es) have to to train!

And yeah, a 10 miler is a leg stretcher. Maybe for you...

I think it's great your clinic has you as a go-to nutrition guy, btw. Did you tell them about the Thin Mints secret to training?
MS Dave: But those of with snow and rain, we really appreciate our good days, right?
Vic: So we need to called your DW Eagle-Eyed Marilyn, huh? No way I'm ever challenging either one of you to a duel!
Stephanie: That's interesting about the Zumba-thigh soreness. I KNOW my legs are weak, large but weak, so that's another point in Zumba's favor for me. Hopefully this summer... I hope your allergies subside.
Martha: Yea for some sunshine your way. I just know that lifts the spirits.
MORE FOOTBALL DIGRESSIONS!
Craig: You have much to teach this grasshopper about the ins and outs of soccer!

I like how you can explain your position as a fan and (former?) player. It sounds like you prefer your players kinda like the image I have of you as a runner--fairly aggressive & willing to take risks for improved performance. (I mean that as a compliment.) I tend to agree with your assessment about American vs. English goalkeepers--just out of curiosity, though, who would you claim is the best keeper in EPL. Lots of people, myself included, like Petr Cech...but I've never played, so I'm subject to the whims of sportcasters & the like; plus DOOD has been a long-time Chelsea fan from his undergrad day, so I follow along. (And the whole question of your fantasy football team is another story.)
Now, I return us to the thread details...
Tracy: Wow, what a great 5-mile hop of your own!!!
Leanna: Thanks for the link to RunningSkirts.com. Ever since Ohana raised the idea of skirts I've been playing with them. I tend to like men's shorts, but am open to having my eyes opened.
Krista: Thanks so much for sharing the pictures of your baby boy. I love the name Carter Stephen & what a tribute to your grandpa.
Mike: I think your pace is just plain excellent! You're going to rock that 1/2 Tri!!
Scott H: Thanks so much for talking to Disney at the ING Expo regarding the ToT event. And the idea of repeated visits, "man of a 1000 faces-style," is brilliant!
SamSam: I'm so glad your unexpected mileage increase turned out so well. And it's great knowing you're ready for the Minnie--you must be so excited.
Amy: I'm so sorry to hear about your tough run. If it's any consolation, I absolutely think you did the right thing by turning around. And you should know, you're not alone (see below) so I feel your disappointment. But you're right--you've got wiggle room.
Stacie: Yay

on your longest LR yet. I'm glad you have your DH to look after you, and that you're taking the hydration issue to heart. I'm sure it will help you with your HR.
Christa: Pray for your family while you're tapering. Sure! But do you mind if I also put in a few words for Ohana???

You're gonna do great on your Tri--the signs are all in your log.
Kristi: I think Craig's no-counting calories advice was very sage.
Betsy: You are an Iron warrior you are--the plane ride must have been exhausting, let alone the Urban Dare (intellectually as well as physically). Congrats on your standing, and I was excited to learn there's one in Pittsburgh this year. I just sent the link to DOOD, hoping we can sign up next year. (And wouldn't it be cool to have a WISH private Dare function?) I'm definitely waiting for the RR.
Jeff: Chocolate or Running, Running or Chocolate? Hmmmm.

For me, one fuels the other--and I'm not saying which!
Scott: Woo Hoo on the PR! I knew you could do it. And productive--that's an understatement--a PR, a bike ride, AND an 8-mile run. Hey, I bet you're one of those Energizer Bunnies, are you?
Lily: You've been doing so well with everything, I just know your Easter indulgence won't have affected you too much. Just gives you the motivation to go a LITTLE farther today.
Carrie: That's great news on the 8-miler & negative splits! You're on a roll, and what a confidence booster. It shows what kind of running foundation you've built.
Angie: I'm just so glad you keep posting, keeping us to date with your progress. (And I think you're doing well--remember, I think you're IronGirl!) Hopefully that extra day off work will keep some of the stress at bay.
Judy: I can feel your excitement of your "Coming Out of Hibernation" emanating from my screen! I hope your days are paved with asphalt from here on out!
Cecilia:
for you and your DH! I think it's a great way to celebrate an anniversary--and that it was your DH's idea (via your running buddy and, of course, you) makes it even better.
Dave: Darn the Tag Fairy, then! I officially withhold my affections until the Tag Fairy recognizes my efforts.
Liz: I hope you get some much-needed rest. I couldn't function on 4 hours of sleep in terms of semi-intelligent conversation, let alone a session with a trainer.
Jen in GA: Smith? I like it. (Not that my opinion counts, just saying.

) I think I'll continue to be impressed by your Goofy performance, though. Especially as you were running for two & left me in the dust!
As for me: Crappy, crappy day. I had no energy for my run, and I bagged it after 2.75 miles when I should have done closer to 4.50. No pain, no problems with the knees/shins/feet/new shoes, just absolutely no energy. I had a good night's sleep, I thought, and had eaten well both the day before & this morning. I'm not feeling sick. So what gives?
Anyway, my form was really suffering & I was doing more harm than good, so I stopped. I cooled down with some walking/form drills & then called it a day. And I'm kicking myself for not manning up, and am now trying to resist the ice cream in the freezer. Oh well, I can't look back without getting an uncomfortable crick in my neck, so I guess I better look forward.
