Helen: It's great to hear from you. Hope all is going well. And running in short bursts is better than not running at all, right?
Vicki: SEF! That's a new training strategy for you--it would make race-day breathing seem much easier. Glad to hear you're adjusting to Singapore & meeting friendly people.
Ms. Duckie: You be careful with those neck and shoulder muscles. Maybe you can con a loved one into giving you a free massage??? (No strings attached, of course.) That is, a home massage in addition to the professional massage that you so deserve. Not to mention the registration fees. You're a YARC princess...you deserve it! And I think you should give that Godiva chocolate as gel another go, just to make sure.
Jackie: I hope your ankle is feeling better. Stress fractures are no fun. Hopefully a few days off will make all the difference. (Where's that fingers crossed smilie?)
TiggerJeff: Taunting us with the shirts, eh? Well, then, I'll taunt you with the 25 degree weather I'm having. Take that!
Betsy: WTG with the speed on the 10 miler! It's a good sore, I'll bet.
Terri: Oooh, back injury. Take it easy, if possible. I can't imagine how painful it is. Gee, I hope we don't have a rash of injured WISHers.
SamSam: I know what you mean about rest days; they make intellectual sense, but were hard for me to adopt. I'm a MfM convert now, but I still need to remind myself to let the body recover from time to time. Good job on the 2-miler and sticking to the XT.
Bill: Love the idea of a Dino dash. And the idea of keeping a little friendly competition all within the family. I hope you and your family stay injury and illness-free from here on out.
Krista: Erp,
black and
gold. I mean to say that. Looks like I'll need your help adjusting/assimilating to the Steeler Nation. Any advice? Oh, and good job wearing out Hines.
Allyson: As everyone else says, real runners run. In a variety of places and conditions. I'm not snow bunny or a rain rabbit. I'm a nice, warm-weather and dry-conditions tortoise.
Carrie: You're obviously a snow bunny. Good job on the 5k! Oh, and I like your typing; it's like a little scavenger hunt for hidden gems.

Great news on getting your marathon ressie in, too!
Stacie:
for the shoes. How upsetting! I hope someone has a suggestion about the shoes because I've never had too much success getting rid of cat-pee odor (lovingly bestowed on my shoes by my cats, and I wanted to kill them, so I can't imagine how you feel).
As for your DH, I'll happily take him off your hands. DOOD is a dedicated runner, and so our laundry/cleaning gets done when we're 1) in need of running shorts or 2) looking for running shorts.
Craig: I hope the XT went well. Thanks for your great advice thread, btw.
Cecilia: To my mind, ANYTHING you do with 3 kids counts as XT. Or if not that, hazard pay.
Martha: I definitely need your cats--or your security guard to protect me from my cats. I'm glad you caught some extra zzzzzs. I think you're doing well with the running & biking; it seems like you're over the motivational hump, anyway.
Renee: I'm glad your friends are sticking with the running, even if they're not totally converted yet. You're a good friend; I'm afraid I'd be frustrated.
WWDave: Thank you, oh thank you, Great YARC panda! YARC message passed on to DOOD, who asked me if my Valentine's Day presents count as presents. I reasonably said that my princess status does not cover presents before said status was granted. Hopefully that will get me some swag!
Judy: As per the Panda's decree, I hereby bow to your Queenly YARC self.
Vic: So long as you're happy with Nascar season (then again, I don't need to live with you.)

Can you argue that since Nascar represents the general spirit of racing, so you need to keep up with things?
Shan: Enjoy the movie. Everyone raves about it! And I know you'll rock your 9-miler!
AlohaJeff: Congrats on the Great Aloha Run & on the pace!

I really enjoyed your video, btw. Now I can't wait to get on the road again, run the marathon & go the distance, and maybe hang loose with you. (Note for everyone: that sentence makes more sense if you've seen the video; it's well worth watching when you need that "why am I doing this" training boost!)
Liz: Ooooh, ToT and
MNSSHP sounds like so much fun. You're all tempting me; now I just need to tempt DOOD.
Stephanie: Congratulations on the good IL visit--I love it when that happens. And WTG on the run, too!
CarolA: Hills! Wow, good for you. Sorry about the stretch/strength class, though; not being able to find parking is always frustrating. I'll be happy when spring arrives and I can bike to my club.
Allie: It's good to know you're okay!
As for me: Don't let anyone tell you that yoga isn't a butt-kicking class. Both DOOD and I woke up with slightly sore arms, core, and legs--that good kind of sore that says you actually have muscles, underdeveloped though they may be. Today was my C25K program and some XT, and I was slightly worried how that might affect my WO, but everything was fine. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's rest day, though.
