Wk Of Dec 30 - WISH Walking/Running Club

Mel- Have a great time at VWL! That's where DW and I stayed the night before the marathon last year in a studio. Cam- helped arrange that for me. Aaah, good memories. Have fun!

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!

And although I'm heavier (and thus slower) than last year overall in my pacing, have completed all scheduled long runs (DW did as well in my absence) and we're looking forward to our first Goofy attempt. Still getting caught up with everything, stand by for more!

I don't get this. My number is 9,xxxx and I put down a 6 hour time. I was being optomistic that I would lose a lot of weight and train really hard all year. :sad2:

I think it's b/c we didn't put any time down b/c we didn't have proof of time when we entered (or at least DH didn't)

Matt--so great to "see" you back!

Good morning Everyone!

I went to my sendoff meeting last night. Picked up my plane tickets, hotel reservations, meal tickets, park tickets and all my shirts for the races. All I could think was "just breathe, just breathe" It is so real now.

My shirt has "mentor" on the front and back. I decided I will wear that one on Saturday since I might be crawling on Sunday and that would look bad for TNT.

:scared1: I can't sleep, I can't eat. I am in a complete panic. What was I thinking!
:scared1: Why did I signup for this? :scared1:
One more thing: Is it just me or did the numbering for the corrals change from last year? I had an old numbering system that had me in corral E but the one I just read has me in corral C. Does anyone know for sure?

Cecilia

oh wait! I forgot to say hi to Dave  You will be missed. Slumber parties are a ton of work but they are fun. We always plan a fast paced scavenger hunt and a long round of twister to tire the girls out. (insert evil laugh)

By the way, my dds and their friends love potato chips and french onion dip. They think it is an exotic treat. Evidently noone else serves the old stand-bys anymore.

This is supposed to be fun, right?

Jen Is it really!! crowded at kid's races? And you just reminded me we are staying at All Star Sports and they DON'T have coffee pots :scared1:
2 days of getting up at 4:30 with no coffee will be very ugly. Good think McDonalds is right there !
Mel Have fun. LOVE Wilderness Lodge all decorated for Christmas.!! :yay:
STephanie Dont' kill anyone ;) And your mention of the children at the Expo got me thinking, so I have decided I need to leave work even earlier in order to beat those lines and crowds. It is a definite must. Any excuse to leave work and go to DISNEY!!!! :dance3:

Angie - Last year we did the Friday race and there were about 75-100 in DD's group. I think for the small area, it can get crowded. But I have this weird way of finding people.

MATT'S BACK!!! Yah!!!

Speak for yourself. 78 is still too hot for me. :scared1: Clouds should help, though.

I agree. I'd go for about 15 degrees cooler. As long as it's not 80 and humid like last year, though, I'm ok with it.

Greetings Racing Team -

Right about now, this time next week....We'll be looking for my luggage! :yay: YAY!

Three miles this morning which I REALLY needed!! :thumbsup2

I'm planning on wearing my oh so attractive black compression shorts and WISH shirt. I don't really care that it makes my legs look like ten pounds of sausage stuffed in a five pound sack. They are very comfortable! I have three degrees of WISH shirts, long sleeve, short sleeve, no sleeve, so whatever the weather turns out to be, I'll be ready. I'm also bringing toss away clothes in case it is chilly. I'm going to hit up the clearance section of Kohl's and get a big towel so sit and stretch on while we wait.

MSDave - Yes, you do need to make that resolution because we miss you...a lot, in case you haven't noticed! Let's see, free flights, free resort, free bib..... OK stop torturing Dave!

I will second what Cam said about Jenn's sweetness! She is a total doll! Just like her momma! :goodvibes Ohhh, I see Howard beat me to it. Ha ha ha!

Martha, really...all these people who live in Florida complaining about 40 degrees. Amateurs!

Lily - That's what I'm doing. Bringing every-thing! :thumbsup2 Charlie is already complaining about my "huge" suitcase! :rotfl:

Jackie - It's totally normal, although not very pleasant. I did three miles this morning and it greatly improved my attitude. Although I think Charlie is still keeping sharp objects away from me. :lmao:

Howard - Drats, he's in Red D. He's going to be looking for you, though. :goodvibes Oh Howard, you're going to miss out Water Stop.

OptimatorMike.....popcorn::

Kristi - Isn't there something you want to TELL us?? About what happened in Vegas???? :rolleyes1

Matt! Oh Matt! :yay: YAY! Matt's home! And he's coming to WDW! YAAAAAAY! :woohoo:

Cecilia - Honey....... It's OK, we all feel that way now. It's totally normal.

Hi Team: OK, I got in 3 miles on the TM this morning in 27:06 min/9:02 mpm pace. My left hip feels very tight. Hopefully not the start of some ITB thing going on.

I apologize for not responding to everyone else, but I really need to get to work. This is part of my resolution to participate in the thread more even if I can't personally respond to everyone.

Christmas stuff at Target is 90% off in Wilmington, DE and they were still putting merchandise from boxes on to the shelves. I picked up wrapping paper, boxes, gift bags, gift tags, bows, tissue, paper plates, napkins, gladware 6qt w/presents design, a large beverage tub, snowman cupcake lines and glittery garland.
I saw this on the budget board, and thought it might be useful to Cam and Howard.

Hey, what happened to my link? Here it is again....

I said ALMOST perfect. It sounds much better than last year when we literally baked on the blacktop.

I am all for partly cloudy, the direct sun isn't a friend.
