With Splash going down?

Yes. That would be my concern...Presidents day week and Soring break with no Splash.

I don't understand why it's going to take at least 1 full year to get Splash re-themed. The basic structure is already built and the ride track isn't changing. You basically have to change out animatronics, re-skin the mountain, change out the boats for a different style, probably add some projections, and adjust the line queue. If you have all the materials on hand, this should move quick. Not overnight, but quick. If you don't have all the material on hand, then you shouldn't close the ride until you do. Particularly these days. Supply chain can easily turn 1 year into 2 if you just assume that the material will arrive when you want it to. You would think they learned that lesson from Tron.

They do it because they can. There's no way Frozen took, what 2 1/2 years to retheme from Maelstrom? My personal belief is they slow walk these things so they can get away with staffing one less major attraction for a while longer.

It usually didn't get ridden nearly as much in colder (for Orlando) weather due to the possibility of getting wet and would go down for a refurb around this time. True spring break will be around without the attraction and the latter half of spring break (for those schools that go later) will have Tron but I would expect to see a temporary bump while Tron is quite new and then evening out.

It may have a bigger effect on BTMRR because of the proximity to Splash.

It's one of mine as well so I get that concern. Maybe having Tron be across the park will help?? Like pulling the crowds that way? But I know it was common enough for people to ride Splash then BTMRR or vice versa since they were near each other so guess we'll see on that.

Don’t think Tron will help with wait times for long awhile because it will be on virtual queue for the foreseeable future. It doesn’t bring down times for people in the park waiting for rides. It could make it worse as Tron’s queue brings more people into the park to start with.

When Guardians opened in Epcot, it did nothing to reduce the wait in the other rides.

Would expect to see a big impact on BTMRR and in Adventureland, Pirated and Jungle cruise due to proximity.
Overall, would expect most wait times to increase. I agree that Tron opening won't help wait times due to VQ and with the influx of people, may even make it worse.

Ooohh VQ..yeah hmm this is where I wish Disney would just let people wait. It would help out other attractions

I still think most would be concentrated on BTMRR but the others could see a bump too for sure.

When we visit again Tron won't be on a VQ, but that dosen't solve the location proximity to BTMRR.

I don't think Epcot has enough attraction capacity to see the difference.

When we were there a couple of years ago, I had a VQ for RotR and still waited an hour in that line. So all the VQ did was change a 3 hour wait into a 1 hour wait. There are still 1000 or whatever people standing in that line which should help to some degree relieve the stress on other attractions. Also, Pete's Silly Sideshow meet, Ariel's Grotto, and Storytime with Belle are opening now (or soon). The train is running now. That could help alleviate some as well.

Big Thunder should probably now be a lightning lane top priority. It`s gonna be mobbed, since Disney stupidly closed Splash to put in that rancid retheme. There`s nothing else in Frontierland besides Country Bears and the Shootin` Gallery.

True. So Tower becomes a LL priority, too. Or, if you`re doing early entry, do that ride first while the mob heads for Galaxy`s Edge.

If true, that`s a huge disservice to their guests. The parks division is still the profit engine of this company. No excuse for crap like that.
