With S/P/D how does the dining plan work?

We have a room only reservation at POR for March 30-April 6. Hoping to book spd if it comes out. How does that work for the dining plan? We're there for 7 nights, so does the dining plan start on the day we check in? And do we have 7 qs and 7 ts meals?

Yes the dining plan is for length of stay and based on number of nights. So for 7 nights you'd get 7 table service, 7 counter service and 7 snacks per person to use however you wish. You don't have to use one per day, you could use all the snacks in one day if you wanted.

Great, thank you! Another quick question......I have to book our ADRs on the 1st. Since we wo t have the dining plan yet, will it be a problem to add it to our restaurant reservations afterwards?

You don't need a resort reservation to book dining. The only thing is you'll only be able to book one per day (180 days out), where a resort reservation allows you to book at 180 days + 10, which lets you book ten days of dining at 180 days out.
