With new decade around the corner...

What will this decade be referred to as? What about the New turn of the century? What about the next deacde? The Tens? Teens? Was nice having the Nineties, Eighties, Seventies, etc.

Well, maybe I just answered my own question - lol. I think the next decade will be the 20-teens, but I'm not sure about this one.

I remember a lot of talk about this very thing when the decade started and I just figured some name would come into favor, but to my knowledge, nothing has. Maybe "the turn of the millennium" or "the turn of this century_ since I still think of the first decade of the 1900s when people say "the turn of the century" (and I'm not THAT old - lol)

I think it will be known as "The Bankrupt Era". It could also be known as the Excess Era. Both main street and Wall Street spent money they did not have on things they did not need.

Here in the UK it is sometimes referred to as "The noughties". Don't know about the next decade though.
