Now, add on to my two TRs already with a PTR. Yeah I'm just that crazy. But I think this one is hopefully going to be worth it. I'll just skip all my random introductions and cut to the chase. Here's the story behind this PTR:

So I came back from my Chorus trip to Disney about a month ago. Now, we all get that Post-Disney Trip depression, but this time it was sorta tougher. My dad said many times that when we went a year ago to Disney, it was the first and last time. I'm not cool with that, especially when he says my trips are all about theme parks. Because of Disney, I want experiences where you feel like your in a different place, not that you know you are, I'm not grasping for a theme park. I want to go to Europe, like him. I want to travel more, not just Disney though I love the place so. He needs to put that in his pipe and smoke it. Sorry had to get that out of my system. Love ya, Dad! :D So, since he's going for the bigger trips (International, Two Week Trips, etc.), I would so go, but if we can't do those, Disney will always be there for me. So, I went up to my mom, who would love to go to Disney as much as she could, and asked if maybe I could go to Disney again for a few short days on my sixteenth birthday and after I graduate instead of a party. These would probably be on weekends. She didn't say no, since she knew how much a Disney fanatic I am and would try her best like with the last two trips, and this one would be easier since it would be cheaper and not as hectic. Thus, this PTR was born.

Now, more about the PTR. This PTR is for my sixteenth birthday trip since its a lot closer than the graduation one. I'm hoping by getting a good solid plan together that it would appeal to my dad financially and he'll let me go with my mom. Basically its all trying to appeal to my dad and keeping it within a good budget. The plan would be my mom, two more friends and I would go to Florida for two to four days (I'm going for the middle man, three). We would stay on property in Disney and try to go to all parks and Downtown Disney. Then, we would leave and that would be it. Disney is all I want for my birthday! :) I would like to use the Dining Plan, but it just gets more and more costly, so at this point everything's depending on how I can somehow put everything together and it all is at the regular birthday budget. I'm in for a very stressful road :) (I also want to mention this is tentative, even if all plans are approved, because I may be go to California and all this is scratched with Disneyland plans, so this is double PTR)

Alright now lemme just give you an overview of me. Here is a picture from my most recent trip outside the "Villains" store near the window where Maleficent looks out:

I'm a freshman in High School. I've been obsessed with Disney World since I was 4 years old, begging my parents to go and until 9 years later I finally went and now I'm just a huge fan of everything Disney. My favorite Disney Movies are Princess and the Frog, Sleeping Beauty and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. My favorite Disney characters are Prince Naveen (Hero/Prince), Cinderella (Princess), Merriwether (Heroine) and Maleficent (Villain). My favorite overall is Maleficent. I also love, besides Disney, Harry Potter, Glee, Supernatural (the tv show), House, NCIS, Reading, Writing, Swimming, Running, Animals, Theater and tons more stuff.

Of that tons more stuff... My favorite book is City of Bones by Cassandra Clare. My favorite movie (non-Disney) is Taken. My favorite food is Lobster and the Salmon Special from Sanaa at AKL: Kidani Village. My favorite vacation spot (not Disney) is Virginia and Washington, DC. Another place I would LOVE to go back to. My favorite color is Baby Blue or Neon Green, depending on my mood. My favorite Author is J.K. Rowling. My favorite actor or actress is Sandra Bullock. My favorite artist is Linkin Park. My favorite song is the Thriller/Heads Will Roll mash-up from Glee. My favorite TV show is Glee.

Now going back to Disney, my favorite park is Magic Kingdom. My favorite ride is Expedition Everest (Space Mountain and Tower of Terror closely behind). My favorite show is Fantasmic (Wishes and It's Tough To Be A Bug right behind). My favorite restaurant is Sanaa (Garden Grill closely behind). My favorite counter service is Golden Oak Outpost. My favorite Disney snack is a Crepe from France. My favorite resort is the Animal Kingdom Lodge. My favorite Disney song is "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" from The Lion King. That's basically it.

Now, we will continue with the PTR...

Introduction- Above
Step 1: The Very Many Resorts- Page 1

STEP 1: THE VERY MANY RESORTS

One of the first things I must do for this trip to work is pick a Disney resort to stay in. It is crucial I pick the right one so it won't be a bit too overbudget for a birthday. So, already I've gone through all the Disney resorts (excluding the DVC ones, because I want to do this without the help of my mom's friend, a DVC member, unless its a last resort where we won't use those resorts) and eliminated those that just won't work. Also the resorts I went to in past trips were eliminated. Here is what I got for my top five. I added little blurbs and a picture to each one:

1. Polynesian Resort

Seriously I think this resort and I are destined to be together. First I get plopped there by the monorail, then a bus driver after getting off the monorail at a different spot. It was just crazy. And one of the friends who I would invite to Disney likes this resort. I looked at the rooms and the place as a whole and it looks great. Reminds me of AKL. The only problem, it is a deluxe, popular and costly, though its one of the lesser costs of the deluxes. I've fallen in love with this place. The price range is from $445- $810

2. Port Orleans Resort Riverside
POR_EST_1_998.jpg

I think this is the one I'm mostly likely going to. It isn't big like the other deluxe resorts among this list, but I love the atmosphere. While the French Quarter is a lot lower on the list, I really would like to try out Riverside. It looks so pretty and the rooms seemed a bit more spacious than the French Quarter. I also thought it looked nicer than some other deluxe resorts. It doesn't cost much, it is very nice and I like it a lot. The price range is from $175- $220.

3. Coronado Springs Resort
41508_1_b.jpg

This was the first one where I felt I could go on this trip. It is a moderate and not very costly, but the resort is gorgeous and I love the rooms. I think it offers as much as some of the deluxes. The only problem I found was I heard the wait for buses is terrible and I don't like that. It still looks like a fun resort, but based on that, I'm not sure if I would be able to enjoy the parks as much as I'd like to. The price range is from $180- $230.

4. Yacht Club Resort
WDWYCLB01.jpg

Another Deluxe within the list. Yeah, I'm starting to push it now. I really do like this one and I don't think the price matches its quality. The resort is gorgeous, not too over the top and modern, which I like. I also love its directly on the water, so it would be nice to be there on off-time. Also, the price is one of the lower pricings for deluxe resorts. The price range is from $385- $770.

5. Contemporary Resort
Disneys-contemporary-resort.jpg

I think you saw this coming. Yet another resort, I stopped at on my adventures on the monorail. I believe its destiny with this one as well, though the Poly beats it. I think this had my favorite rooms. I love the modern flair they have, its amazing. It is an iconic Disney resort and beautiful in every way. It is also within walking distance of Magic Kingdom. Though, I didn't like how some parts of it felt like you were in some creepy alleyways and such, but my admiration of the resort will be on the off-times, so I just really like it. The only problem is, it is one of the most costly resorts in Disney. The price range is from $330- $1,090.

6. Port Orleans Resort French Quarter
disneys_port_orleans_resort_french_quarter_exterior.jpg

Now, we come to the other end of Port Orleans, the French Quarter. It is a bit different in styling and I wasn't a huge fan. I think the Victorian styled rooms in Disney just don't work with me. It also didn't seem a lot for a moderate, while it definitely was a moderate, some seemed a lot nicer. And its the price range as some of my favorite mods, it is very likely I won't go here. The price range is from $175- $220.

7. POP Century Resort
disneys-pop-century-resort.jpg

This is the only value that made the list. I've already stayed at one value and thought it was ok, but it was definitely an experience walking around. I've heard so many good things about POP and heard it is favorites of people who have been to some amazing Deluxe resorts. If they rate it over those, it must be good. If I can't weasel my way with some of the mods, this will definitely be last resort, though I love the resort theming. The price range is from $105- $135.

8. Wilderness Lodge Resort
disneys-wilderness-lodge.jpg

Now this is another resort where I feel a similarity to AKL, my favorite resort. The interior is almost exactly the same while the exterior seems a bit more grand, but its been there longer. I love the Wilderness feel it has. It looks so nice. Though it isn't a top deluxe, I definitely think it looked like tons of fun, but this one is very obscure to me and I'm not sure if its close to any parks I'd like to go to. The price range is $310- $415.

9. Boardwalk Inn Resort
boardwalk.jpg

We're almost at the end of the list. Be patient people! So, yet another obscure resort. I haven't heard much talk of it. I looked it over and it seems very nice. It also is near the Disney BoardWalk, which I've yet to go see. It looks like something to do in my off-time instead of traveling to Downtown Disney or something else. I like a very different experience, but still it isn't a huge favorite of mine. The price range is from $395- $755.

10. Grand Floridian Resort
A01-01.JPG

I'm guessing a majority of people are all gasping. I know, I know, probably the grandest resort in all of Disney and I rank it ten on my list. Well, it costs so much, the most expensive resort in Disney. Though, I would love to walk through it. The exterior is my favorite in all of Disney and maybe I'm having a mis-perception of the room. But I'm most likely not going here based on the price, but I'll still have it up in case my mom is "Alright, we'll spoil you this in time. We were probably getting you a car anyway." LOL. The price range is from $485- $2,070.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So those are the ones that are probable to be used for this trip. A lot of them seem unreasonable, but this trip is over a year away, so I've got time. I'm not too knowledgeable on Disney resorts since they didn't occur to me as such big factors in Disney trips. If you have recommendations with good back-up reasons please tell me or any more pros or cons to the resorts I've picked that I haven't discovered please alert me. Thanks! Step 1, almost complete :)
